M1: Just a Treasure Hunt?? (Bront Judging)

The Wizard nods enthusiastically, looking at Terran with new found respect as he mentions, 'How interesting! I've never made a study of ancient trading customs, but already you have piqued my interest, good Master Terran.'

Clearing his throat, Genithar asks, 'Know you of any reputable outfitters I might resupply at, in Stormreach? Also, do you surmise the Dhakanani of old or the Sahuagin of today worship an aspect of your Patron's Power?'

Terran smiles widely" Why of Course!! Kol Korran is a member of the Sovreigns who have presented themselves in all of their glory to all cultures at one time or another.

Genithar blinks rapidly as he says politely, if in a lecturing manner, 'Save the Elves, you mean of course, friend Terran. Xen'drick did not pay homage to the sovereigns, nor did it's children, the Aerenal. I have heard the Dragons of Argonesson follow some of these patrons though, an interesting thing, if true."

A hiss comes from somewhere above. "SSSSSSssss. Falssse. Sssoftskin'ssss Hosst and Ssssixxx and Flame all ssshadows of the paragonsss of the Thir. They ssserve the true dietiesss---the Progenitorsss sssoftskin'ssss forget."

Genithar's narrow face raises to the rigging, his keen elven eyes trying to find the source of the sybilant speech. Unable to locate Thral'K, the Wizard smirks and addresses the air, 'Come come now my good Scout, if that is to be believed, than the Progenitor Dragons are now all dead...or at least bound in the forms of sky, surface, and subterranian. How can the Host, Sovereign and Dark, as well as the Flame serve dead or bound gods? Nay, the teachings of the Blood hold the most truth.'

Turning to the two Clerics politely, the Wizard shrugs and continues, 'Perhaps is not the best time to get into a religious debate, though I am pleased that Tral'K would have a point or two to contribute to such a talk. Our Scout's cultural ideas and mores are of such an interest.'

This hiss this time is colder, if possible. One might think the lizard was ruffled, if such a thing could be said to be possible. "Chainsss do not ssstop power. If you are chained, your ssservantsss do not ccceasse. When you sssleep, your ssservantsss do not become free."

Terran agrees " Our Sovreigns are believed to be manifested in the sky in the form of the constellations. Our Gods are ,according to some, the greatest of the children of Eberron. I imagine Kol Korran must have been very shrewd, and truly an idol to emulate when he roamed the surface of eberron. Anyhow, I imagine if you studied Giant theology you would find they revered at least some form of the Sovreigns even if they did not call them such. As for the elves, perhaps some of their ancestors emulated the Sovreigns and worshipped them and ,through some miracle inspired by Aureon perhaps, managed to preserve their leaders, the Sovreigns are still being worshipped just in indirect ways!

Corran shrugs, all of this theoretical theology holding little interst for him. What point is there in debating? Everywhere you look, you see the power of the Sovereigns. Each creature is a child of Balinor, each spell cast comes from the library of Aureon. The Sovereigns have direct impact on our daily lives in ways these progenitors no longer do. What matters who was here first? He turns and looks directly at Thral'k as he continues, The way of the hunt shows us that what matters is who is here last.

Somewhere up above, hidden from sight, a pair of lizard eyes narrow coldly.

OCC: Thral'k's ready to move on. Or kill all the heretics for fun. Your choice. :D

ooc; bring it, you runt of a tail broken off from a bigger lizard :p though I too am ready to move on.

The Wizard only nods in acquiesence to Corran, not wanting to belittle his friend's ideals and taking a real moment to consider the Cleric's positions.

Still, he was a Seeker, a Faithful of Vol, and he knew the False Gods had power and followers, even if they were all pretenders.

Turning a soft smile on his comrades, Genithar only responds, 'Perhaps. Friend Terran, I do so enjoy your wits. I hope we can continue to debate as we pursue our goal. At any rate, let us also hope that our explorations may shed some light on the Ancient Giant's religions...and perhaps the elves as well. But, I must say, I do not believe the Undying to be of the Sovereign's power. Just as the Flame and many flame cults are not of the Sovereigns either...though yes, I understand a Paladin of Dol Arrah began the contemporary Cult of the Flame.'
