More goblin slaves
When Thain asked for names, he was actually talking to the two humans captives, not the party
Both humans are visibly releaved at the party's presense. "Oh, you are a gift from the gods!" They rush forward and shake hands with everyone. Though their clothes are ragged, they seem in pretty good shape physically. Both are fairly young men, with dark hair and black eyes, as are the majority of Monemvassians.
"I am Philo" says the smaller one. "And this is Bombadill. We were guards on a caravan which was seized by these foul Jebli months ago. We were seriously outnumbered, and gave up without a fight, which may be why they spared our lives. We work hard here, but still get beaten regularly."
"Next time, I'll go down fighting!" adds Bombadill.
"I'll have some of that food, Rinaldo." Says Philo. Both dig into what ever is offered.
"We're both from Monemvassia. If you take us home, our families will be eternally grateful!"
After a bit of chatting and eating, they get on task.
"When will the goblin caravan return? Well. Let's see. Did they leave before that chicken escaped that we got beaten for?" Philo asks.
"No! That was Bole who beat us for that! And he always goes with the caravans." replies Bombadill.
"OK. It must have been two days ago, then, that they left. 48 hours or more. They usually leave a bit before sundown. In that case, they probably won't be back until the morning after next, so 32 hours, or more. But the goblins aren't always predictable. Usually it seems to be 3 days and 4 nights, but it's been shorter before. And definitely sometimes longer. And it's hard to know just how many will come back. Some go and don't return."
"Yeah, like that bastard Krange. Thank Hyrag he stayed on the island." interjects Bombadill.
"The rest of the Jebli live on some island. Sometimes new ones come here, and old ones leave. I think most of them like it here better."
"Can't imagine why. This place is a godforsaken garbageheap."
