M2: The Search for Goblin HQ

Anything else before locking the door and sleeping? Searching the rest of the rooms or bodies or anything?

(Should we get the sleep, Ashnar will prepare this in the morning:

Ashnar will try to find out if the goblin cleric mentioned the name of the god he serves before sleeping, and see if he heard about that god during his training in the temple of Otun. (Know Religion +4) Also, whether the cleric is a goblin, hobgoblin or something else.

"I'm all for resting." Nurlan says checking his wounds to make sure none of Charlarn's careful ministrations have come open. "This looks as safe as we can get and if we set watches we should make it through the night as long as the rest of those goblins don't come back."

"Alright then, I guess we should check out this place a little more thuroughly before we call it a night though just to make sure we have the most defensible spot and that there are no other ways that they might come at us." Tenebrynn says as he beings to search the room for secret doors.

[ooc: which room on the map are we intending to fortify? Tenebrynn will change his memorized spells as well. I'll reflect that in my sig when we have rested.]

Thain, Bombadill and Philo fill the party in on the map as much as possible. They don't know who Cranzer worships, but do know he is a hobgoblin who carries a heavy pick and worships some goblin god. Tenebryn finds no secret doors.

The party is currently in the sevent's quarters.

(OOC - perhaps we should see if there is some human-acceptable food in the kitchen? In the morning, Ashnar might want to look for a crossbow and bolts first, taking them from one of the weapon storages. Is one of them Thain's shop? Since Ashnar doesn't have the money for that crossbow yet, he'd prefer if he could get it from the goblin storage.)

Somac settles in for a night's rest. He will take a turn at the watch if needed, keeping a particularly close eye on Thain, Philo, and Bombadil.

"It's been a long, eventful day. I only hope that Irene, wherever she is, can rest tonight as well."

Bombadil and Philo russel up some dinner. It is not good, but meets the need of the hungry party. The group then bars the door to the servent's quarters and settles in for the night, which passes uneventfully.

In the morning, the party ventures forth.

Meanwhile, for the second time it looks like I'll have to start a separate thread for Irene. Venus, if you're still reading here, stop, and look for a Irene's thread. After the HP gain from the rest, everyone is at full HPs, except Somac who is 13/14, Nurlan 6/10, and Tenebryn 9/15. (I think)

Didn't Charlarn already heal Nurlan up to 8 hp? You were arguing a few pages back over whether it was 8 or 9.

Erekose, I think you have Nurlan right, except you forgot to mention he's going to sing a song or two for our new friends before everyone starts sleeping. BTW, he's thinking that an opportunity for his recently-learned Charm Person spell just might present itself soon.

Glad you approve, sorry I forgot about the singing. Will try to sing my way through everything with Nurlan, lets fix that now. I was hoping to learn sleep off of Irene during our last break, but we didnt get enough treasure to scribe a spell. It might have come in handy during that big brawl.]

As everyone wakes in the morning, they find Nurlan has already begun a motivating tune to start the day with. Given that they expect to fight more undead today, he figures it would be good to get that morale boost in early. "Morning all. Shall we rescue our dear friend then?"

Waking slowly from his meditations, Tenebrynn's hand falls to the wound he had received yesterday. It hadn't bothered him while the adrenaline was pumping, but over night it has begun to ache. "Might I request a moment of your time, Charlarn. I think that you may need to have a look at this wound, it is a little worse than I had thought."
