Eanos, human monk

Eanos descends after the mages, wondering if they've cast spells that let them see in the dark, but decides to follow their lead and refrain from lighting a torch himself. He takes one of the sai strapped to his leg and scores the ladder so that they can identify it on the way back, then lifts the door back into position so that no one coming up behind them might see they've entered the passage. He moves with Tenebrynn and Ashnar, keeping his ears attuned for any sounds that don't appear to be his two companions, while trying his best to let his eyes adjust to the dark.

Rinaldo
[sblock] Wilbur and the woman freeze and listen for a few moments. Rinaldo also stays quiet. "This place is spooky, Wilbur. I'm scared."

"Holga, we need to get a place for ourselves. I'm trying to save money, but it takes time, you know. Perhaps you could speak to Armax, or someone in charge there. Maybe we could get a loan or they could give me a job within the castle that would pay more."

"Yes, Wilbur. We should keep working on that. I don't like having to meet like this."

They embrace and kiss again. "Let's go now, Wilbur."

"OK. I'll walk you back to the castle."

They move towards the exit.[/sblock]

Tenebrynn gropes forward. In about 20 feet, he finds another ladder leading up. The passage continues. It is completely dark, but footsteps and voices can occationally be heard above.

Actually, Nurlan's room would come next. The elf remembers seeing Wilfong the gambler enter the room between his and the bard's. Proceeding, Tenebrynn finds another ladder in his path, about where he'd expect Nurlan's room to be. Beyond this, Tenebrynn doesn't really know what to expect. The hallway ends in a door right after Nurlan's. Staff only is allowed beyond.

[SBLOCK]A murderer would have enough money to buy that place for themselves. It seems Wilbur have only a love story to hide. I'll try to learn who is that Holga... oops, they are coming. Rinaldo tries to silently leave where he is standing to find a hiding place and spy the couple leaving the barn. If he ever makes too much noise, he will turn around and walk toward the door, but that time, without hiding and will open the door.[/SBLOCK]

Rinaldo
[sblock]Rinaldo is able to move around the corner of the barn. The couple emerges and begins to walk towards the castle, which is visible as a tall silohette on the hill.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK]Too dark to see... well, I'll ask around if it be needed. Maybe Priska would have something more to tell me. Rinaldo turn around to go back to the Inn, but some doubt fill his mind and finally decide to follow them form far and see if they go into the castle. If both do so, he will go back to the Inn.[/SBLOCK]

Tenebrynn feels around the door to see if it has a latch or anything that would possibly make it difficult to get in from the other side (ie, like the latch to Tenebrynn's room is only on the inside of the secret passage.) Then he listens at the door.

What I meant here is that the hallway in the Inn has a door after Nurlan's room so the party has never been to that part of the inn. In the crawlspace underneath, the party can continue past the ladder that presumably leads to Nurlan's room. The little tunnel continues another 30 feet or so and ends at another ladder leading up.
