M4: Under the Volcano [Nimisgod judging] -CONCLUDED

Rasereit Vundinn, Dwarven Barbarian

Razh takes a deep breath of the fresh air and frowns as he looks around at the fields and the sky. He takes it all in for a moment, and then, still frowning, says, "Ah hate t'be the one t'say it, but that was too easy. Ah'm no expert on evil genius thinkin' an' whatnot, but they don' jus' leave ye an escape route guarded by one wild crocodile. We'd best be wary. An' another thing, nah what? We're out, but we've got nothin', no gear, we got two sticks an' a bone. An' these." He flicks his loin cloth. "'Tain't much, mates. So Ah say again... what nah?"

"If Hogarth, who lives here all his life, didn't knew that there was an escape route, why would they knew it. For them, it might have just been a deadend trap full of danger and never thought we could make it. But let's stay vigilent.

So the blood of Gundar have start to flow out of the vocano..."
Rinaldo thinks a moment.

[SBLOCK=Goblin]"Have you ever been here, Hogarth? Do you know where the dragon and the Viscount could hide? And do you know when Gundar will decide to burn this island?"[/SBLOCK]

(Sorry, had a bit of burnout, I think)

Ashnar looks at the volcano and the tongue of lava with curiosity and concern.
"... which might mean that the tunnel we came through ia no longer stable."

"I guess we head North. With the South, East, and West all being impassable we need to keep moving. Though with the land sloping down in that direction, the lava will likely reach there too if it hasnt already." replies Tenebrynn.

Hogarth reflects. "We have escaped from the underground. Amazing. Perhaps it will be good to die under the sun. More pleasent to drown than burn for you. I will die in Gundar's blood. That is my fate. The fate Gundar has decreed for my people. You still think you can escape. Very well. I will accompany you. There are docks to the North of the Island. If you are to escape, I suspect you will need to go there and take a boat. Likely that is where everyone in Suderheim has gone. You should hurry. There are few who would embrace Gundar's blood. The goblins have no sense of respect. Soon the whole island will be covered with Gundar's blood. "

"Hogarth, I respect your faith in your god, but what will be the use of this useless sacrifice? You repeat us your faith is to die in your god's blood. Why would your god ask that to you? It would be throwing your life uselessly.

And we don't want to flee, at least not now if we still have time. The Viscount is bright enough not to wait here, he might quit with the dragon and Frump, his wizard. We need to find them, and stop them before they do more harm, and if possible, find our equipement, find our wixard's spellbook, which will help us to fight them.

Help us, if we succeed, Gundar will have no more need in destroying this island, what remain of it will be saved and you'll be able to build anew over the ash of what have been destoyed.

Please, help us, and don't throw your life like that. If you are born, it is to live, nt to die."
tells Rinaldo to Hogarth.

And please, Gundar, help us. Gives us the chance to get rid of them.

"I say we return to the town and regroup at the temple where we were thrown into that dungeon. There, we can recover our equipment and rearm ourselves. Only then can we decide if we are to retreat or seek revenge."

"We'll need to find some clothes first though, so we can blend in with the crowds. Some weapons may be a good idea too. I'm betting both the villagers and the goblins are quite... agitated."

[SBLOCK=OOC]If, indeed, the chests were also taken to the temple, of course.

Oh, and the fun-o-meter has been steadily increasing since my earlier complaint and is now at around 4. The pace has picked up (mostly) and it feels like everyone can participate again. Sorry for being a complaining twit earlier.[/SBLOCK]

"Lets head north, we need to get a move on. We can discuss what to do next along the way. But that lava is coming down and we need to get out of here even if it is in out loinclothes." says Tenebrynn as he starts moving out and to the north.

how far are we from seeing what has happened to the northern part of the island?

The group has two options as to their northern route. They can stick to the beach at the edge of the sea, which seems pretty straightforwards as far as they can see. The other option would be to climb to the field (easy enough) & head north over the farmland. This would take them over a ridge. They cannot see over the ridge at this point.

The lava is moving more slowly than the party, and is not an immediate threat, as long as the party does not become trapped.

Hogarth nods at Rinaldo's words. "I will come with you. Why not? Tell me, if you did escape to your lands, is there a place for me there? I do not speak your language or know your customs. My only skills are the powers Gundar has given me for my devotion."
