M4: Under the Volcano [Nimisgod judging] -CONCLUDED

Eanos, human monk

Eanos, slowly dripping on the shore, says, "With at least one working 'waystation,' I'd say our scout should head out. The rest of us can work on creating a second air pocket further down the tunnel. It won't be ready before the scout returns, but if he needs to swim further, the sooner he has another resting point the better."

The brave monk sets out again, managing to muffle his fear of water despite his near-death drowing experience.

Eanos: [sblock]Eanos takes off, figuring he'll use the air pocket on his return trip if necessary. He swims about 60 feet to the first intersection. He turns right, swims about 50 feet, then turns right again. He's never been this way before. He's not even close to out of breath, though, when he sees the distinctive reflection of air overhead. Surfacing, he sees a bright light ahead. The air is much fresher here, and the water saltier. Swimming along the surface for about 70 more feet brings him into the daylight. It is late afternoon, and he is treading water along a rocky beach. He figures it wouldn't be too hard to clamber up to shore. Ahead he sees only water. He must be at the edge of the island.[/sblock]

Others: [sblock]Eanos dives in. The water stills behind him. The seconds tick by. Pretty soon, people start to worry. He's been gone longer than last time. And last time, he would have drowned if Razh hadn't saved him.[/sblock]

"I don't like that... I really don't like that..." Rinaldo pick up a peeble and show it to Hogarth. "Eanos is not a fool... he must have found something." Or something foudn him..."I need to know... it's been too long." Rinaldo take a peeble and turn to Hogarth. [SBLOCK=Goblin]"Can you light it up, I have to know what happen to Eanos."[/SBLOCK]

Eanos, human monk

[sblock=Swimming]Not wanting to delay any longer, Eanos turns back the way he came, eager to tell the others he's finally been successful in his search.[/sblock]

Rasereit Vundinn, Dwarven Rescue Diver

"Ah'm goin' too. Someone should bring the scroll case, Ah'm guessin' he'll need it." Razh is not carrying his club for this trip. His goal is search and rescue, not search and destroy.

OOC: Str - 16 (+3), Con 16 (+3), 32 rounds underwater, +3 to swim.

Hogarth casts light upon a pebble and Rinaldo dives in with it. He hasn't swum far, however, before he sees Eanos returning. Together they surface and Eanos can explain what he has found.

I should mention I'm on the road & won't be posting frequently until Monday or so.
