M4: Under the Volcano [Nimisgod judging] -CONCLUDED

OOC: you have the roots with you. But they are thick and hard, and can't be used to tie anything to anyone. Nurlan's light spell lasts 40 minutes. About 10 have now passed. Razereit can sense that the group is only about 15 feet underground. Eanos needs to decide what he's bringing when he makes anther swim of it.

"Unfortunately, Tenebrynn," Eanos says, "I'm afraid I don't have any way of softening these roots to make the malleable enough to tie 'round me. I fear taking both the scroll case and the light will impede my swim more than the extra air might help me."

He lifts the "torch" and moves to the edge of the water. Looking back, he adds with a faintly encouranging smile, "Razh, keep your eyes open?" Then he dives in, hoping he can find an actual exit this time.

"We can wait in the dark, but you can't swin in the dark, so take the light, we will wait for you. I think Nurlan have what needed to cast the spell again, just be cautious." tells Rinaldo, continuing his search.

Eanos sets out to find an exit underwater. He has decided to take the split that Ogrin bypassed. He dives in alone. The rest of the party searches the new chamber. No secret doors are found. In fact, the only one who can see is Razh. "I can cast a light spell, too." says Hogarth. "Do you want me to? You and your friends are very brave." he tells Rinaldo.

Eanos[Sblock] Eanos swims on top of the water for 20 feet until he reaches the end of the open air. Taking a deep breath, he dives. He swims 60 feet, reaching the branch that goes right. (It went 'left' when you were coming from the other direction.) He swims another 50 feet or so and finds the split Ogrin spoke of. Ogrin had turned right, so Eanos turns left.

Eanos has a 12 CON, so he can swim 24 rounds at 20 feet/round. Does he intend to turn around at 'halfway'? I'll warn you that Eanos will not necessarily know when 'halfway' is. I'll make a % roll to determine how close his guess would be.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=Goblin]"Our ressrouces are slim. We don,t need light for teh moment, Razh is our eyes. Yes, my friends are very brave, I just hope this bravery will not cost the life of one of them."[/SBLOCK] he answers, thinking about Ashnar death. "Have you found something, Razh?"

"I too can cast a light spell, though I think we are okay sitting in the dark for now. It is a little creepy isn't it?" replies Tenebrynn.

[sblock=Swimming]OOC: For this jaunt, at least, he'll turn back a round before he figures he's 'halfway out of air,' then, just to be safe (intel's no good if he can't report it). Unless, of course, at that point he sees something that suggests a surfacing point is available.[/sblock]

Eanos: [sblock] The narrow tunnel turns several times as he swims. Just as he's thinking it is time to turn around, he sees that the tunnel ends. It appears to end, anyway. He thinks he sees a wall about 20 feet ahead, but his vision isn't clear through the water. To be sure it ends, or to find a smaller passage that continued, he would have to swim up one more round, then spend one round looking around.[/sblock]

"How much time he has been under the water? Sorry, it's not been that long... I don't want anything bad happening now... Razh, if Eanos take too much time, you should go with the scroll case, if he need air to finish his way up to here, you'll be able to give him some." suggest Rinaldo, who wish to find a way out of that maze.

[sblock=swimming]Still feeling a measure of guilt from his previous jump to conclusions, Eanos chooses to take a risk this time to verify his observations. He checks the tunnel 'end' as quickly as possible. Whether it's truly a dead end or not, he'll then head back to the party at best possible speed.[/sblock]
