M4: Under the Volcano [Nimisgod judging] -CONCLUDED

[SBLOCK=Goblin]"Interesting to know, Razh prefer not to have healing for now, and Eanos seems well enough like that... I think we will be fine like that for now. But if you have to spend a spell, use the trap finding spell... except if your temple have many traps. I know my way with traps and my skills are quite good like that, and I don't expect that much trap... but keep the healing for later. Thank you Hogart, your help have been more than welcome up to now."[/SBLOCK] tells Rinaldo to Hogart.

"We should just put the body out of the road, just in case someone else would travel by it. It would gives us a chance not to be spotted too early. And we should continue by the field. Now let's hurry, Gundar will not gives us time to relax..."

Eanos, human monk

As the armor will do him little good and he can use few of the weapons, Eanos decides rather to make use of his heightened senses keeping watch while his companions equip themselves. As Hogarth steps up to heal him some more, he turns with a smile and nods his thanks, knowing the priest could not understand him if he spoke. He still feels quite weak, but some measure of strength seems to have returned with the latest magics.

At Rinaldo's urgings, the monk helps move the bodies off the road and picks up one of the javelins in each hand.

When they're ready, he joins them once again on the trail, ears and eyes questing about for any more company.

[sblock=OOC]Sorry about my inactivity. Unforseen busy in the RL. I'll also be out of town tomorrow through the long Labor Day weekend. I'll have some measure of internet access, but I'm not sure about time. Feel free to NPC as needed (hell, Eanos seems to hit more often when he's NPCed than when I roll for him, anyway. ;)

Just a double check: since unarmed attacks don't require use of the hands (i.e. they can be kicks, as well) I think Eanos should be able to carry two javelins without impeding his melee attacks. Let me know if I'm wrong on that, and he may only take a single javelin.[/sblock]

Hogarth seems uncertain of what to do. He is glad to get the studded leather, the shield, the javelin and the morningstar. He is a compact, muscular man. He now looks quite dangerous. He touches the monk, speaking softly in Terran, healing him some (12 pts).

Did he heal Eanos for 12 points (bringing his HP to a total of 17), or cure him to 12 points total?

"The question is, which direction? I'd wager these fine gentlemen, who so eagerly shared their possessions with us," Ogrin indicates the dead goblinoids, "were on their way somewhere. Should we follow their heading, or investigate where they came from?"

"We don't know what they were doing, or what they wanted to do. The time is counted, so we stick to our idea. We should not waste time." tells Rinaldo, who finally strap tight enough his lasts trap so the armor will not float around him. He grabs the morning star and put the shield and the javelin on his back. "Let's go."

The road to the South leads to the building, which has now been almost completely destroyed in the lava flow. Looks like the party wants to continue north through the fields.

The party continues cautiously through the fields. After about half an hour, they can see the walls of the city where they were taken and lowered into the caves. The city seems in sad shape. Smoke billows up, and the wall has clearly been breached by a lava flow. The main gate is on the North and not currenly visible to the party. They are now able to see the docks, which are on the North end of the island. They can see many figues crowding the docks, and several boats still at the piers. The party would have to go through the town to get to the docks, unless they wanted to swim around.

Eanos is healed to 17 HPs. Have a fun weekend Jkason! You're not going canoeing with Orsal are you?

[SBLOCK=Goblin]"Hogart, is it in this village the dragon is living, or it was living elsewhere?"[/SBLOCK]
[SBLOCK=OOC]Can we identify the people that are gathering, or at least if they are goblinoids or humans?[/SBLOCK]

"No." says Hogarth. "I believe the Dragon lived in a cave near the top of the Volcano. She now perhaps lies writhing in Gundar's blood."

The figures are humanoid, but they're too far to see more than that.

[SBLOCK=Goblin]"If I don't see the body with my eyes, I wouldn't say so. You never know with these type of minds. Was it the same for the Viscount, the man who was the leader of these goblinoids and the son of the dragon?"[/SBLOCK]

Ashnar felt funny with his "newly acquired club." He could easily figure how he looked - somewhat tall, burnmarked skin, a loincloth as the sole clothing, and a club as the sole weapon. That's how barbarians are occasionally described. Except that Ashnar would only be a poor mockery of a real barbarian, as he definitely lacks the muscle to pull of the barbarian look.

Seeing the city being slowly overtaken by lava, Ashnar looks even more grim than he looked ever since his death. "Plan?" he asks tersely. "Our gear, Frump, Causticus, safety. Which order?"
