MacGyver: What Spycraft class is he?

Tonguez

A suffusion of yellow
Went to my parents house yesterday and watched a rerun of 'MacGyver ' which got me to thinking how would he be cast in SPYCRAFT terms.

All I can thik of is a Soldier (maybe Soldier/Face multiclass) from the Home Office Department.

What do you think, what feats and skills does he have?

REMEMBER He never carriied a gun, could innovate ANYTHING and seemed to have a stack of Knowledge skills

IMHO Fixer, of course. He can always jury rig or make the right piece of equipment for the situation...

Fixer/Face maybe...

Yeah I had initially thought Fixer but he doesn't quite fit that overall mould. Although capable of it he doesn't really go for the stealth/agility routine. Unfortunately he can't get Improvisation until Lvl 6 as a Fixer which is the ability he'd be after

Perhaps a Fixer/Face with most skill points in Face (and Int) skills few in Stealth.

Remeber Macgyver broke into and out of many secure locations. He broke into that defense mountain with that super smart security computer and broke out of it. He must have busted into nearly every embassy on the planet. How many military bases did he break into and out of also??

Completely off topic How does Spycraft rate with Call of Cthulu?? Is it a must get?? Thanks

How does Spycraft compare to COC? Short answer: I don't know. They seem like two very different games though, so I think that comparing them might not be very helpful.

That being said, Spycraft is a definite, without reservation, must get! The game is very well done, and is flexible enough to allow you to run a wide variety of genres, from James Bond to X-Files to the A-team, Robert Ludlum or Tom Clancy.

I thinks thats what I wanted to ask in my other question but just didn't say it.

Well I ask my question in other thread, don't want to hijack this one.

I always thought Macgyver was a pacisift, and thats why he didn't carry a gun. Maybe I'm wrong, but I still wouldn't give make him a soldier. A fixer/snoop from the home office, I'd say. Oh, and Spycraft compares favorably to CoC, in fact I'm using the Spycraft classes and combat system with CoC rules for Mythos stuff in my Delta Green game. Even made a custom character sheet for it.
