Does this make your Warlord stronger than the Battlemaster? Why or why not? If yes, why did you choose to do so?

It gets them 1 level earlier and one of the exploits grants an additional dice.
Warlords do not get heavy armor a d10 hit dice, action surge etc. So a warlord is slightly better at superiority dice worst at actual combat.

This is a good take on the BM-style Warlord. I'd like to see more support for exploration and interaction baked into the class, though.

Every single class in the game is overpowered in some way. Your version doesn't seem to me to be overpowered. So I would say maybe think on buffing the key points a little?

It would be interesting to see how this playtests out, but it looks somewhat lackluster. It has tactical support options, but it does not feel "rich" in them which was one of the appeals of the old warlord. There are a lot of short and long rest abilities. So what does a warlord do once those are expended?

Here is one I thought of:
Improved encampment - If the character is both present and conscious when the camp is being set up and watches set all characters gain a bonus equal to the Warlord's Intelligence modifier to their Passive Perception and Wisdom (Perception) checks till the party breaks camp. At level X any perception checks to find the camp are made with disadvantage.

I have some rough ideas on others and will come back with them once they are more solidified.

Nice. I'd consider giving the class Expertise, like the Bard and Rogue, but that's just preference.

What about a subclass that gets a companion, btw?
