First Post
Hey guys I want to get back to working on my campaign world, I made a map and I need input for the design, I used photoshop and well I learned the thing on my own. Any help, advice would be helpful, I hope the file fits, I compressed it from 350 megs to 3megs. I think I attached it.

nope not working, humm.

I think the max on these boards for attatchments is 2 megs- or maybe .2 megs... I forget. But I can't see whatever image you may or may not have attatched.

I'll move this to the art forum. In any case, it's pretty tacky to post anything larger than 200k or so. Your best move is cutting it into pieces, shrinking it, and placing it on a web site that you can link from.

file size

Whats the overall physical size of the map? Can you put it on a 8.5" x 11.0" "paper" size and still show it the way you want? Resample the piece to 150 (or even 72) dpi/8 bit (instead of RGB and save as a jpg), that should bring the file size way down & still allow a decent representation. Or just "break off" a slice of it & post that, doesn't really need to be the whole thing if it's really physically large.

Well the map was made using large sheets of sketching paper like 18 by 24 inches, and there are about 15-16 sheets to make the world, it covered most of the floor around here, and was scanned piece by piece and over layered, then photoshoped. I'll try to work on making it smaller again, and posting somewhere, thanks guys.
