Mages vs Clerics

It's pure luck. I mean, I could create an incantatrix build where the wizard could prep quickens for free, or a celerity nut build (clerics don't get THIS! HA!!) or some stupid junk. Then the cleric-o-philes could come up with some random junk. It's purely luck or prep.

As I said earlier, the 20th level exercise isn't particularly telling.

Now, do this at a lower level.....say, 10th....and it's a more interesting question.

Greater Any Spell. They can get celerity.

Divine Metamagic covers the Quicken of Clerics.

Word.

Just so it's clear: Miracle can get Greater Anyspell. Thus a cleric can prep any Sor/Wiz spell of 5th level or less.

I think Miracle's best use might be teleporting a group through all manner of wards. The ability to ignore teleport blocks gives the cleric a big strategic advantage. Sure, in theory the wizard can teleport around more easily. Since both sides can protect areas from that intrusion, the cleric doesn't have his movement ability nullified so easily.
