Don't know if anyone's done this yet, but if there are any of you out there who've looked at the magic item prices and wondered what someone was smoking (especially if you're thinking of running a campaign where money does not flow like water or get dropped like fall leaves), then here's a little something for you.
Both files give prices for each item level assuming a different pseudo-exponential rise (core rules=5 per 5 levels). Find one that suits you. Can't find one? Try the (zipped*) OpenOffice spreadsheet, and plug in your own factor and base (0-level) price to get just the numbers you want! And if that's still not good enough, maybe I'll do a quick version that lets you set the factor independently for each block of 5 levels, so you can have prices flat on the bottom and steep up top. Or vice versa. Or whatever crazy thing you can imagine.
* Hey, why can't you make this thing accept OpenOffice files, huh?
