Majic jar:

If you have taken over a body can you proceed to cast personal spells on it and will they continue after you leave.

Senario 1/ My NPC Necromancer Majic Jars other NPC's and casts poly self on them or fireshield or mirror image etc...etc...

Senario 2/ My NPC majic jars a party member inflicts it with contagination or shrinks it or casts stone to flech or hold ............voluntarily failing the save???

I am going to write an encounter with NPC Necro 14th level against a mixed party of 13th level chars. Depending where they go the Necromancer will have 5 frost Giants near throwing rocks at the party or 5 5th-8th level Rouges. Suggested uses of the above tactic would be welcome.

The FAQ says the following:
A personal range spell goes where you go.
When you take over a body with magic jar, any personal range spell you had before the takeover goes with you, and you can continue to use it in the body you have taken over. When you leave the body, all your personal range spell effects go with you, including any you cast while in the body you've taken over.

So, personal spells continue on you, regardless of what body you're in.

Sure, Polymorph Self, Fireshield, Mirror Image would follow you whenever you leave the body.

Cantagion and Reduce would certainly work.

I'd not advice Flesh to Stone, as that would leave you unable to take any action, even purely mental ones, i.e. totally stoned.

Hold Person would probably work. Although it is not explicit that the standard action you have to take to leave the body is purely mental, I suppose it is.
