In the spell battering ram, it says that it bull rushes like a large cretaure with a 25 Strength. Now, I know this will knock the person back at least 5 feet if successful, but the book doesn't specifically say that it will push him farther back than that. In the description of the bull rush attack action, it says that you have to keep moving and push the target along if you want to move him more than 5 feet. I would assume the spell does this, but a fellow DM wasn't so sure.
It's a 2nd level spell, and I think that a 2nd-level spell that does 1d6 points of damage at close range and can only knock the target back 5 feet is plain weak. If it does keep pushing, then on average it will knock a person back 16 feet (assuming both take 10).
On a related note, what are the rules if you bull rush someone and shove him into another person? Say that there are three guys in a row, and you bull rush into the first one and get a phenomenal result (the guy rolls a 1, you roll a 20, so you can shove him back 24 feet). Could you knock all three guys over? Do they make Reflex saves to dodge, or Strength checks to stop you?
