Magical Items Inspired by Cartoons

I've been thinking about cartoons a lot, lately... and, pretty much everything I think about eventually combines with D&D...

And so-- what interesting (and ridiculous?) magical items can you think up based on your favorite cartoons?

-I would like to have a belt that creates solid rainbows that myself, my friends, and my horse could run, walk, and play on... just like Rainbow Brite.

-Additionally, I would also like a pair of blasters to attach to my wrists... just like Space Ghost.

In cartoons like Scooby Doo, there's sometimes a hall with lots of doors and when you run into one, you come out of another. Kind of a dimension door... thing. Not really a magical item, but it's magic. :\

That would be a pretty cool bit of magical architecture for a stronghold. You have to know the right sequence of doors to get anywhere or something...very interesting for repelling intruders. I like it, I like it :)

The Belt of Bifrost? Or perhaps Heimdall's Girdle?

Space Ghost's wrist blasters were awesome. Heat ray, freeze ray, spank ray (okay, I made that last one up)... I think his belt had the invisibility device, and probably the force-field as well.

He-Man's Sword of Power is awesome. Lion-O's Sword of Omens is cool, but He-Man's sword had the best visuals. Raise it to the sky, cry out your battlecry, then lightning from the heavens channels through the sword giving you huge freakin' muscles and a really cool deep, echoing voice. But you lose your nipples, so there's a trade-off. (It was a kiddie cartoon, so they _couldn't_ very well show a man's nipples on it, could they?)

Maybe the Mighty Hercules of the 60's was better off. He'd put on his magic ring, raise it to the heavens, lightning would flow through the ring into... wait, He-Man totally ripped Hercules off! Olllyyymmmppiaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

I would like to have Hank's Energy Bow of Infinite Wishes from the D&D cartoon. It pretty much did whatever was needed. Someone is falling? Shoot several arrows where he will land and the arrows will form a trampoline. Caught in an avalance? Use arrows to create a path of safety and protect you from the cascading rubble. He also had blinding arrows, Entangling arrows, etc. When the ranger's bow is more versatile than the magician's hat, then something wasn't really thought out very well by the writers. Unless the point is that Hank is the natural leader, so he should be able to Captain Kirk his way out of anything.

Here is my conversion of Dora the Explorer. It was here backpack that gave me the idea to convert her.

Familiar: Doro has a monkey familiar named Boots. He is an overexcited but cheerful monkey that loves to climb and swing. When in dungeons he tends to stick close to Doro being afraid of the dark and getting eaten by monsters.

Boots: CR -; Tiny animal; HD 5; hp 8; Init +2; Spd 40’ climb 30’; AC 16, touch 14, flat footed 14; Base Atk/Grp +2/-10; Atk/Full Atk +6 melee (1d3-4 bite); SA deliver touch spells; SQ improved evasion, low light vision, scent; AL NG; SV Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +6; Str 3 Dex 15 Con 10 Int 7 Wis 12 Cha 5.

Possessions: Back Pack, mw rapier, hand crossbow, 10 bolts, spell book, Scrolls: comprehend languages, invisibility, Potions: cure light wounds (3), lots of mundane adventuring equipment (climbing kit, lanterns, torches, tent, etc) kept in Back Pack.
Wizard Spells Prepared: (5/4/3; save DC 14+ spell level): 0- dancing lights, detect magic, ghost sound, light, mage hand; 1st- detect secret doors, expeditious retreat, mage armor, sleep; 2nd- invisibility, scorching ray, see invisible.
Spell book: In addition to those spells Doro has prepared the following spells are in her spell book. 0- all; 1- comprehend languages, identify.
Doro’s excluded school is Necromancy.
* Doro has more equipment then a PC of her level, hence the CR modification.

Backpack: Bag of Devouring; AL NG; Int 14 Wis 10 Cha 14; Speech, 120’ vision, hearing; EGO score 6.
Lesser Powers: Identify 1/day, Locate Object (CL 3, 3 min, 440’ radius) 3/day.
Personality: Backpack is a cheerful baritone voiced leather haversack. Though he cannot recall his name or his creator he does remember long years spent in a dusty and damp tomb before being rescued by Doro. Though Backpack is cheerful, he approaches every potential owner with caution. Initially his attitude is indifferent and until he becomes helpful some items placed within his extra dimensional folds may be devoured. While Indifferent to an owner there is a 20% chance a day of devouring the contents of the backpack. If made to be friendly there is a 1% chance a day of accidentally devouring its contents. When his attitude is helpful he will never accidentally devour objects placed inside of him. On the other hand if Backpack is unfriendly or hostile there is a 60 and 100% chance, respectively, of stored contents being devoured. The best way to earn Backpacks friendship is to feed him. Though he is capable of devouring anything that will fit in his “mouth” he prefers the “taste” of adventuring equipment and mundane household goods.

Note: Backpack is a bag of holding type I just like a regular Bag of Devouring. Backpack is also capable of devouring people (like a normal Bag of Devouring, +8 to grapple check). He is loath to do so however, perhaps if doing so will save Doro’s or Boots life. Backpack can also crawl as a full round action. While crawling his Spd is 5 and has an effective Dex score of 1.

Moderate conjuration; CL 17th; in effect this is a creature and cannot be created; Price: N/A (11,488gp for intelligence, spell like abilities and bag of holding type I)
