I guess that sounds like self-justification, and I'm sure you'd come up with a version of that if you had superpowers.Yes, that’s true. It is different when your contribution is unique and you see with your own eyes the difference you make with your own hands. My job has elements of the latter (not at all the former) and I’m glad it’s a job with normal hours and pay, the fact that it’s a transaction protects me from the feeling that I should be doing more.
And, honestly, that's fine. It would be unreasonable to expect that of anybody. It's not like I do, either.
Anyway, taking it back to superheroes--a broken, depressed, exhausted, nihilistic superhero is no use to anybody! So that's your self-justification for taking "me" time.
