Major Transformation question

First Post
So, I had a random thought. So I am soliciting opinions on how people would rule on a somewhat convoluted scenario.

Can you use a transmutation wizard's major transformation feature to make a corpse of one type of humanoid into a corpse another kind of humanoid? If you do, then spend the 8 hours to make another philosopher's stone and restore life to that corpse?

Or would you rule that the major transformation destroyed the body?

If so, is the raised person now of the new race?

Could you use magic jar to possess a body, kill your original body, and perform the above steps to change your own race?

If so, could you use the magic jar (assuming its a diamond) as the material component for restore life?

I am not really sure why anyone would do this. But I am curious.

It depends on if you rule a corpse as an "object" and how that would affect it. I personally would not interpret it so. It would certainly make it so that it is no longer the person's body and is not eligible for resurrection.

Yes, this probably along the lines of how I would rule.

No.
