Make some wishes.

Tomorrow, my game will include the Festival of Dreams, where people write down their wishes, place the paper in an urn with their friends' wishes, and carry the urns up to a sacred mountain in a huge parade. At sunset, one out of every fifty urns are broken, and the community does its best to fulfill those dreams which are not too greedy.

Thing is, there's a complication. The psychic incarnation of Desire will be there, causing desires to manifest. So I need a few dozen dreams that can come true. Just think like you're one of the thousands of people in a fantasy city. Mostly human. And you generally don't like Elves, because they're usually Elves (see a thread in meta for explanation).

So, any ideas?

I wish that would realize that her husband is cheating on her.

I wish that I could find a better location for my shop.

I wish my boy would grow up to be the strongest man in the land.

I wish my girl didn't have her club-foot.

I wish the church would raise my granddad.

A six year old boy wishes to be faster than any elf.

A young elf wishes to be tougher than the king/human community leader.

A teenage girl wishes to have a statue of her grandmother built, so she'd know what she looked like. (It could always come to life.)

Sixteen people wish to be able to fly, or go for a trip in an airship/get fly cast on them/equivalent.

A crone wishes to be beautiful again.

A crone wishes to be remarried.

A priest wishes for more people to attend his services.

A wererat wishes to be cured.

A half-orc shaman/psionicist, somehow aware of the manifestation of desire, wishes for the power to attack to town.

A ghost wishes for the tidying of her tomb. (Somehow!)

A sentient rooster wishes to become a man. (Good ole Feng Shui.)

ok that's all I got, I hope some of these fit.

A blacksmith might wish for his weight in good iron. (If you're being nasty, create an iron golem for him.)

I wish for the finest sword in the land. (But when he gets it, everyone will try to take it from him.)

I wish to be the best at X. (She will be, but only because all of her skill points are transferred to X, thus making her incompetent at everything else.)

Is that the sort of thing you're looking for?

Well

The "common people" of the town would make wishes involving having something that someone else has such as owning a business, or a prized possesion. For teenagers it would most likely involve sex with someone unattainable. Wishes are almost always going to be selfish and most often petty, being meaningful only to the person making the wish.

I wish people would respect me.

I wish to defeat a dragon.

I wish I were royalty.

I wish I were stronger.

I wish I was better looking.

I wish the Elves would leave.

I wish I could have magical powers.

I wish I could turn lead to gold.

I get it. Then it's up to the PCs make the wishes come true. Great idea! Type this out and release it as a pdf, why don't you?
I second that emotion. Sounds like a great little adventure, stopping or undoing the wishes that create problems, and helping with the beneficial wishes.
