Making a high-level PC is hard!

It's taken me nearly 20 hours to stat up a 1st level character and I'm not done yet! I'm glad that I put aside coding my own layout program and went with an off the shelf solution (InDesign). Designing my font has taken up a ton of time though. Next up: picking a race and class! :D

I agree; it's one of the things that's going to bug me about the new GSL. I applaud Wizards for wanting to push the DDI character building stuff, but the OGL was also responsible for some really good software tools besides what Wizards offered for 3E in the past. Anyone designing good software tools are going to be doing it outside of a "safe harbor."
