[Malhavoc] Hey, Arcana Unearthed fans!

Lets See if we can answer some questions (the Quotes are from AE FAQ Arcana Evolved FAQ

Turanil said:
Question 1: How many pages this book (the current AU has 256 pages).

Monte FAQ said:
That is for the 416-page hardcover version, due out in February 2005.

Turanil said:
Question 2: Is all material from the current AU found in the evolved version, or is there some missing stuff (and which one)?

Monte FAQ said:
Arcana Evolved holds all the innovative and thrilling material from Monte Cook’s Arcana Unearthed, The Diamond Throne, and the Player’s Guide, updated with errata corrections in one convenient full-color volume This variant player’s handbook, with hundreds of options and rules, can either replace or supplement the official core rules Player’s Handbook to offer fresh excitement and energy to OGL roleplaying.

Question 3: I do read full color for this evolved version. Who are the artists? (I wasn't overly impressed by many of th artists featured in the current AU).

Monte FAQ said:
Cover illustration by JP Targete Interior illustrations by Andrew Brase, Mark Brooks, Kari Christensen, Jason Engle, Patrick Keith, Michael Komarck, Eric Lofgren, Jennifer Meyer, Terese Nielsen, Michael Phillippi, James Ryman Sam Wood, and Kieran Yanner

Are the goodies from The Stuff going to be in it? Any nods to diamondthrone.com?

Monte FAQ said:
If some of this stuff sounds kinda familiar, it should. It's almost all stuff that fans have asked for. Mostly from our very own message boards.

Hope this helps.

Has there been an inclusion of any of the new spells from the revised SRD (such as scorching ray or waves of fatigue) or any of the more clearly defined status conditions (nauseated, etc.)?

I know (or at least hope) there will be inclusion of a map or maps in Arcana Evolved, but will there be any more detailed maps of the lands, other than a continental overview?

Fun Question:Has Malhavoc himself seen any action in the Lands of the Diamond Throne since AU came along? Or has his creator merely been an AU DM during this whole time? :)

Do you find that fans prefer your (Malhavoc's) standard D20 books like Book of Iron Might over the AE/AU specific d20 books?

For future AE expansion books, will those that claim d20 compatibility include terms and definitions not found in the d20 core books but only found in AE?

Will AE included the higher chained feats for Warmain's and Unfettered like Greater Weapon Focus and Greater Weapon Specialization?

Will there be more fiction that influences the game setting?

Will Legacy of Dragons be updated to a full color Monster Manual style book once the initial print run sells out?

How has creating and expanding AE changed the way you look at standard d20 games?

What's it like getting to work with Fiery Dragon again, but this time not as a writer, but as a 'parent' company licensing out AE?

Any chance of having some common names along with the IP names so that fans of reusing OGC can clearly indicate the material as opposed to renamming it?

What's coming out for AE at after the Transcendence?

Will Iron Wind continue to provide miniature support or is that going to be discountined?

Will we see an NPC book like Rogue's Gallery, Bonds of Magic or Uncommon Characters?

Will we see Cry Havoc support for AE anytime soon like armies of Giants and Litorians written up in Unit stats and formation?

Here's the most important question IMHO:

Will there be any way for someone who already owns AU and the Diamond Throne and doesn't want to spend a ton of money on mostly reprinted material to seprately get only the new, updated info found in AE? Will future supplements to AE also be fully, 100% compatable with AU, or will there be new classes, feats, powers, spells, races, etc found only in AE that will throw owners of AU for a loop? What, if anything, is being done about this?

I bought AU and the whole line, but I have no wish to buy AE if it's 90% reprinted material. However, I'm afraid that 10% difference will mean future books in the line will not be fully compatable with AU. I REALLY think there should be some way to get just the new/changed stuff from AE without buying a $50 book.
