Malice of the Medusa (pt-1) [Manzanita judging]

Though the searching is long and bears little in the way of clues Reis and Dane can say with confidence that the first and second floors have been searched. Little is gotten by way of the searches except that now there are only two places left to check.

[sblock=ooc]Sorry for the long delay; I've been away on vacation. Looks like other people probably were as well. Maybe we can get this started back up soon?

Anyways, I had thought that Midias and Dane would take 20 on the cellar and the attic while Victor and Reis searched the first and second floor (to save time). If we can't do that, though, I guess I'll search the cellar for my next action.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc] NP on the slow down the holidays have been kicking my tail as well. Walking Dad won't be around till the 6th I believe but if I get a go from ScorpiusRisk and Theroc I will go with your ideal to have everyone take 20 and go ahead and post what was found.

So Theroc, ScorpiusRisk just let me know when you all are ready. I will NPC Midias if it is needed. [/sblock]

Searching the hospice top to bottom takes better than half the morning but yields results. In the cellar an old bloody footprint is discovered, it then leads to the discovery of a trapdoor in the floor that was covered by a carpet and some barrels. The trapdoor is unlocked and the group now all stands in the cellar the door open and the smell of garbage comes out of the hole in the floor. A wooden ladder leads to the smelly floor and the area is very very dark.

[sblock=ooc] Actions and marching order please. Also Theroc said he is having computer trouble so I will need to see what I should do from the judges. Viktor maybe to much a high society guy to follow you three into the dark smelly hole LOL :p [/sblock]

Reis looks down at the blackness through the trap door and shudders.

"Midias, can you call on your god for light? If the spell needs an object, you should probably use something of mine or of Firebuilder's."

Midias

"Surly. Shall I enchant your weapon? Or something easier to drop, in case we have to sneak?"
Midias asks back.

Dane draws his morning star and gives the hole a look of grim determination. He looks to his companions and assesses the situation.

"I have a hard time seeing us being very sneaky and I am certainly not prepared to fight in pitch darkness."

Reis nods agreement.

"Aye, I don't think we would want to fight in the dark in any case... you could try enchanting my rapier, since I can sheathe it when we're not in battle if necessary." Reis holds up the weapon, its edges glinting faintly.
