Viktor finally managed to overcome the fear that had gripped him, charging forth as almost all of the skeletons fell, before Reis crushed it himself. Viktor looked to the others, ashamed.

Reis cautiously inspects the rest of the room, mace at the ready. But there are no more skeletons and when he enters the part where the light is coming from he notices a staircase winding its way up and a stained glass window letting in the warm light of the sun, it makes Reis feel better. There are no other doors or exits out of this mausoleum.

Dane is not conscious as he is still in neg HP Sorry, but will make for a better reason to leave him behind, with the priests maybe at the hospice or here, let's see where we go. Someone should carry him.

When the sunlight hits Reis he losses the shaken effect that he got entering the crypts. Whole point into how much time you took searching the sun might have been down LOL.

I know it doesn't "feel" like you are getting anywhere but you are over 2/3 done ;) just to let you know and maybe give you a boost to finishing up. [/sblock]
 


Reis casts one last glance around the room after ending his fruitless search, then raises his eyebrows and shrugs in a helpless gesture. "Well, it seems we've hit a dead end. Time to head back?"

[sblock=ooc]So the only way out is the way we came in (back to the hospice)? If so, we'd better head back and drop off Dane before continuing.

Hmm... it seems odd that it's a dead end, considering the bloody footprints we found - that's why I made the check for tracking last post, to see if they were still there. But I guess that's another mystery to solve later.[/sblock]
 

[sblock=options] See where the staircase leads, it is winding and you cannot see the other end. Or go back to the hospice where you know Dane can get help.

@ WD you sense some magic coming from the hallway (Faint Aura) by which the PCs entered this room. It covers a 5' by 10' area. After studing it you feel traces of Necromancy and believe this is what caused the feeling of Doom you now feel LOL. :p

There is no other magic in the area.[/sblock]

"We should not leave him here, after what he just went through. We should get him back to where he will be safe before investigating further." Viktor answered, still feeling a bit guilty for his failure during the encounter.
 

Reis glances at the cleric strangely. "Aye, Viktor has the right of it. This chamber is black as pitch, and you may have noticed that we were just ambushed by undead constructs - who's to say there won't be more? We can't leave a companion here."

Reis shakes his head and continues. "I think we should get back to the hospice and see if they can do anything for Dane. Perhaps then we can return and see where this passage leads."

"I also thought we shouldn't leave him here. Let's leave this cursed place. We will return later." Midias approves the answers of the others.
