Malice of the Medusa (pt-1) [Manzanita judging]

[sblock=OOC] It was on the other page, didn't remember you posted actions thought you wanted to go into the tunnel. I will figure this out it's my blunder. :( Give me a sec [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC] Above post has been edited what is to folllow is my attempt to randomize attacks without re-rolling. First with Reis their an extra skeleton could attack so i rolled it's attack and randomized who. Then that left the four who had already attacked i picked three to attack Dane and the last to attack Reis (because it could not reach Dane) so Since only one more was going to attack Reis I rolled randomly to determone which of four attack rolls to use. Ypu said you aren't familair with the rules so here are your opptions for a standard action:
Reis can ready and action or go on total defense (I would say ready)

Skeleton 1 - to hit = 17 dmg = 4
Skeleton 2 - to hit = 2 dmg = 4
Skeleton 3 - to hit = 18 dmg = 4
Skeleton 4 - to hit = 19 dmg = 5
Skeleton 5 - to hit = 11 dmg = 3

First Reis takes ready action- against skeleton hit 19 dmg = 4 forgot -2 but it is a hit anyway

Is Reis approved for lvl 2?? he is changed and everything had to figure numbers for lvl 1

5th skeleton not killed by ready attack so attack from it vs. Reis = miss 11

Randomizing attacks picking which of the four attacks Reis because it could not reach Dane = number 4

The rest hit Dane and take him to -4 (will be at -5 on his round 2)

Ok everyone please post your round 2 actions [/sblock]

Midias

ooc: I cannot see Dane on the map. I also thought a greater turning destroys undead it affects. Did I miss all?

If possible to rech Dane, Midias will do it and convert Command to cure light wounds.

Reis staggers back against the wall as the skeletons press forward from two directions, clawing at his torso. Gritting his teeth against the wounds, he sees Dane fall in front of the passageway and moves to cover the spot, readying himself to parry any attacks.

[sblock=ooc]Okay, thanks for that. :)

Unfortunately, Reis only has one approval for level two - I've only heard back from Trouvere so far. I had to update his character sheet to submit it for level 2, but if you need the level 1 info, I can PM it to you (I saved a copy). What you used looks right, though, except that he should have taken a -2 penalty to attack for being shaken.

Hmm... if Reis took five damage, he should have only 1 hitpoint left. Can I use my five foot step to move into the square that Dane is in (so I don't provoke any AoOs)? Since he's unconscious, I think I can stand in front of him and the skeletons will attack me instead. That should give Midias a chance to cast a healing spell or pull Dane back into a different square.

If my reasoning works there, Reis will take a five-foot step to the right and then use total defense. If I've missed something, tell me.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC] That spot may not be avaiable to Reis since Viktor goes before you, and using total defense is a good ideal the skeletons would need a 20 to hit you. :)

I will post something in the discussion thread to get Reis approved for lvl 2 Then he will have a "surge of adrenaline" lol (as I think the extra hp will be most welcome)

@ WD: I'm sorry WD I really botched that turning check (cleric lvl -2 = 0 HD) :( I looked to see if their was a minimum effected with turning undead but couldn't find anything. BUT - keep on turning :lol: because your cleric lvl is double these guys HD and any you turn you automatically destroy.

And did you read ScorpiusRisk doesn't wish his character saved you can repost your actions should you really wish and try turning again. I know Midias is the kind of character who looks to help and save lives, but you could save three by killing these skeletons but only one by healing Dane. [/sblock]

Dane's big toe twitches.

[sblock=ooc]Yeah, save me or let me die, its completely up to you. If you think me being up will help then go for it, I'm here till I'm not.

However, if you have a better chance of surviving by not saving me, which is how I read it, let me die.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]
Where is Dane so I can plan Viktor's moves? Our current position is definitely not what I had in mind with our retreat. I'd had it Reis, Viktor, then the clerics to heal us should we fall... >.> hopefully we survive this encounter.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC] Dane's body is in the square with the x in it. You may move into that square as he is unconsious.

Yes this did not go well hard to get "intent" with pbp. Viktor went first and moved to the first square in the hall avaiable. I had reis going and at first put him behind which is the closest square he could have got to, but forgot his other post. Yellow group of Skeletons went and attacked then Midias went and I botched a roll that could have killed all of the skeletons in one go. One big turn check should end this, or two medium ones. :p [/sblock]

Midias

Desperately, Midias tries to channel the power of his god again!

ooc: I made a new check Turn Check (1d20+3=5, 2d6+4=8). BTW, Midias counts as level 3 in regard of turning (feat!). So 3-2 =1. Perhaps it helps :)
