What's the consensus on Prestige Classes and domain abilities?

If I, a 7th level Cleric, take 2 levels of Divine Disciple, is my Smite power (from Destruction) at +7 to damage, or +9?

If I take the Death domain as my bonus domain from Divine Disciple, do I roll 9d6 for my kill check, or 2d6?

This would definitely have the effect of making certain domain abilities better than others...

Usual rule: If the class explicitly says it increases non-spellcasting abilities, it does. If it doesn't say that, then it doesn't. Not having my books in front of me, I can't tell if DD has that text.

When a class says "+1 spellcasting level" they mean increase caster level, spells known, and spells/day, but nothing else: no turning, granted power, familiar abilities, whatever.

It'd be 7, not 9. Spellcaster levels don't add for domain abilities.
