Hopefully I'll rock out a goodie today. My week is crazy. Costume construction today, costume construction tomorrow, Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday, party/bonfire on Saturday, party/bonfire on Sunday...

*pant, gasp*

But I'll try to get a goodie up today. :D How'd you guys dig the last one, BTW?

Sorry if these all seem a little horror themed, the setting isn't really that horror at all -- it's just fun to write! Besides, it's Halloween in a few days. I'm gonna be a punk rock angel. But, without further adieu. :D

The West from the Other Side of that Canyon

Panoramic view of the great painted desert, in the American west. It is sunset. Camera PANS slowly across the scene, with a slight track of wind blowing playing.

NARRATOR: "I'm gone. I died long ago, but my spirit still roams this great land. I've been forgotten in Hell, and here it looks like, too. Gotta follow the rules, though -- leavin' me to wander forever. Forever across this great land, never leavin' a footstep."

CUT to shot of a family on a homestead. A young sister and brother chase each other about the yard, while their mother pins up clothing on a line quaking the breeze. The sky is painted as in the first shot, during the sunset.

NARRATOR: "I life you live long is just a moment to me. I try, believe me, to be with 'em and touch 'em. I guess they don't know that chill in the night is just daddy saying hello."

CUT back to panaoramic view of the great painted desert. CUT to varied shots of horses fleeing in terror, scattering over the plains above the desert.

NARRATOR: "There's no place for me, anymore. Everywhere I go brings upset, and harm. I don't want to remember when I was alive, anymore."

CUT to original panoramic view.

NARRATOR: "Like you I once was, and like me you shall be."

The sun DROPS behind a mesa, extinguished from view.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

I'm going to a party today, so I'm giving Sollir Furryfoot until when I get home tomorrow to get Hong Wen's stuff up -- after that, we're starting!

:D

I decided to write up some flavor while my clothes for my costume are in the wash. So, to wet your palettes a bit more...

'TIL DEATH DO US PART
Set to Tiger Army's True Romance

An atypical cowboy walks slowly across the frame, camera set far away, in a bit of plains that nestles right up to deep woods. He is dressed in a long, deep crimson velvet coat, with two swords belted at his sides, blonde hair falling in sharp angles from his hat, onto an equally sharp face. He walks bent. A subtitle fades into view near the bottom of frame: "Vincent." Camera PANS around behind VINCENT, to face the woods, as VINCENT's coat billows out beside him.

CUT to shot from the woods, facing VINCENT. Camera is set high up in the bole of a tree, with bits of foliage in frame, though not obscuring VINCENT. Bits of murmuring can be heard out of frame.

CUT to extremely close-up shot of VINCENT's fingers, unbuckling one sword. CUT to identical shot, of the other blade.

CUT to profile shot of the woods, with several heavily tattooed Native-Americans drawing bows, the sound of the sinew string stretching eclipsing the soundtrack. Each has their face painted to resemble a skull.

CUT to shot behind VINCENT, facing the woods. The Native-Americans cannot be seen through the foliage. VINCENT takes each blade, THROWING them to the left and right, one sinking into the ground blade first, while the other simply falls on its side.

CUT to shot from the woods, facing VINCENT. Camera is set high up in the bole of a tree, with bits of foliage in frame, though not obscuring VINCENT. He kneels, slowly, extending both arms out with hands palm up. Shot remains as one of the Native-Americans approaches, accompanied by a white female clad in a long, gossamer white dress. Shot slowly zooms toward VINCENT's face, a tear rolling off his nose as the male Native-American walks a few paces and picks up one of VINCENT's blades.

CUT to shot of the white female, with the male Native-American's arm slightly in frame. He obviously swings the blade HARD at VINCENT, and a spray of bright crimson lines her face. Camera slowly zooms and fades on her face as she cries, as well.

Must start game soon! This is too good to wait anylonger.

I'm shooting for tomorrow or Monday. I feel like I'm sorta being a dick to Sollir Furryfoot, but I wanna play! :D
