The divine agent is weak? That's an honest inquiry, not an objection. I haven't played it, but I've long thought that looked like one of the most potentially fun PrCs. Have you played, and if so, where's the power lack most painful?

I'm the DM, and I feel really bad for the player -- he's about as effective as the other groups members only because he has 2 more levels than the rest of the group (Clr11/Divine Agent10 or so).

The loss of caster levels hurts, and the class gains few abilities that make up for that power loss. The ability to cast a level 9 domain spell 1/day as a spell-like ability is nice, but you're giving up the ability to cast level 8 and 9 spells for it! Yeah, it hurts.

Hmm. We didn't find the divine agent underpowered in our own game.

Curious -- how many levels does the green-eyed divine agent have? We've found it very weak. Generally I complain about overpowered classes (since I DM), but this one strikes me as amazingly weak. I'm glad my player took it anyway, since it fit his character -- but I wouldn't have blamed him for giving it up for purely meta-reasons.

Hmm. She was somewhat multiclassed (with ranger) and was already a combat powerhouse, so maybe that's why; the character never depended as much on her spells as she did on her swords.

How neccesary is it to have both books? The 3.5 DMG has some flavor text Planar info, wouldn't that be enough of a companion to the Handbook?
