Manyshot, your opinion ...

What's your opinion of the Manyshot feat as it is?

  • It's bad and an alternate description would not help.

I don't much like the Manyshot feat. I'm fine with unrealistic, if it involves magic, but for certain things I like some degree of realism and this doesn't seem realistic. Am I right about that?

Wouldn't it have been easier just to have a feat that enables an archer to do extra damage by aiming at especially vulnerable points? All the math would be the same, just different description.

So many things in this game are unrealistic, that this doesn't seem out of place. Evasion, for example, or Hide in Plain Sight. It's a game of the fantastic.

This makes perfect sense to me. If all you did was run around and shoot stuff with a bow your entire life, i bet you would get pretty good at doing trick shots and whatnot with one.

Besides, it was in LOTR  hahaha

Aiming at vulnerable points would justify Sneak Attack or criticals. I try not to argue whether or not something is realistic in the game because a) people will disagree and who's to say my opinion is better than anyone else's? and 2) it's not really worth it -- unless it's unbalanced, it's not that big a deal. Just let the players have their fun.

Voted unrealistic, but I like it.

I don't know exactly how realistic this feat is, but it doesn't look all that out of line compared to a lot of other feats and non-magical combat abilities other characters gain over time.

There comes a point where the game starts to feel less like a medievel RPG and more like over the top anime stuff. That's all I have to say on this subject.
