I am very interested in something similar to the map folios that Paizo produces. I can always use more maps. I would prefer such a product be offered in pdf format. Otherwise it would have little use for me.

Of course, I am always interested in maps scaled for battles as well. But I won't take too much time talking about that since it appears that is not what you were looking for.

That's precisely what I'm looking for. When I run a pre-made adventure it's because I don't have time to build a custom one. I'd like to be able to read the module, pull the map into MapTool place the mob tokens and be ready to go. In situations where I am not running a game at home I'd like to be able to print out the map and take it with me (or buy a print version).

To my mind, providing high quality digital versions of all the maps in a module is a no brainer, even at a slightly higher cost. They *must* have the maps in a digital form already.

For something like Sellswords of Punjar I can scan the provided map in, but most modules don't have that option, plus it is more work. The encounter in the first issue of Level Up is another example. Duplicating that map isn't beyond my (limited) cartography abilities, but I'm unlikely to spend the time. IMO that map could be provided with the pdf version of the magazine (particularly since print purchasers get the pdf for free) but I'd probably pay for that as well if needed.

In an ideal world I could buy a DCC, go to the product page on Goodman's site and download jpegs of the map for every encounter in that module. Failing that I could go to RPGNow and buy every map for that product in a pack for a couple of bucks. Obviously this would apply to any adventure publisher, I just happen to bias toward GG.

I'm sorry, I edited that out of my response because I was afraid I was being off topic.

But, I absolutely agree with what you said here.

Yes, I am primarily interested in print versions, I have been hitting Joe up for months to make his module maps available as separate products.

So I am hoping if we can convince him to do it in print and PDF, he'll be able to support LGS' with a print product, and give us customers the digital resources we want.

See, I too do a lot (LOT) of on line gaming, with Maptools. So I want both print and PDF, for my face to face games and my on line games.

I voted no.

I like the idea, but with a printer capable of printing on a 24 inch wide roll of sturdy paper, it is very hard for them to compete. Color printing is still quite expensive, distribution more so, and the selection of maps is never the same as what I would have made myself.

I guess I should have voted "no" since the print versions wouldn't be as appealign to me. If I have the electronic one, I can use them online, crop-cut-markup, and if I want a print one I will print it out myself.

I want what jgerman and allynbard wants. Battlemaps and scale maps for download or even for a $2 or $3 RPGNow PDF. Now, THAT is a good idea, and one that might sell quite a bit.
