[March Madness] Where's your team?

Go Terps!!!

I really hope they play like they can. I would love to play Florida again. That loss really sits badly with us Terps fans. Not that Florida is bad, just that we had a 90+ home non conference winning streak.

My heart says we go far (no repeat though) but my head says we lose to Xavier or Florida. And my really cynical side says we lose in the first round.

#8 Cal vs #9 NC State. Well hope the Golden Bears get to the Sweet 16!

Well, my team is 10th in the FA Barclaycard Premiership, and hoping to put together a good run in the last 8 games of the season and get a UEFA Cup place.

My team are Tottenham Hostspur Football Club, of London, England.

This all probably means virtually nothing to most of you :D

Football, don't you mean Socceer. I didn't think you guys had football over there. :D

So, UNC beat DePaul. How excited am I supposed to be? *grumble-NIT-grumble* :p And tonight, if anyone cares about the NIT, Brown plays Virginia (I'm a conflicted ACC fan — I shouldn't like UVa at all, but my brother went there for his undergrad, which was before I ended up at UNC for my grad work, so I kind of have a soft spot for the Cavaliers). Go Hoos! (?) :D

Best,
tKL

trying to keep this contained to one thread...

Hey, has anyone else filled out the brackets @ ESPN.com?

I was surprised that I only missed one game today (darn NC State lost!). I was even more suprised to see that out of like 200,000+ entries (I am guessing here as at one point I was like ranked 128,000-ish) I am only ranked 862 with a 99.9 percentage. Oh well. While I would love my UConn Huskies to go all the way I could use the 10,000 prize more. :D

I nailed the West. Yay. Anyone else doing this? Or how are your brackets doing in general?

No I didn't do it. I don't keep up with it enough during the regular season to make guesses. If I did I wouldn't have done too great as I would have just picked all the higher seeds to win!

But I am happy to say that OU is going on to the second round. So watch out bears!

BOOMER SOONER

As a long-time Cal Bears fan (class of 91), I can say that they have always had a weird way of pulling out impossible victories at the last second against huge odds. There's The Play of course, but I've seen it many times in basketball games as well. Now I don't know if they'll have a chance vs. #1 OU, but I wouldn't be shocked if they somehow pulled it out.

Of course, they also have ways of pulling out impossible last-second defeats, blowing 9 point leads with 10 seconds left in football, having game-winning 19 yard field goals blocked, that kind of thing. One thing about being a Cal fan is that you're rarely allowed to get bored. Even if you're 16 points ahead in basketball with 2 minutes left, somehow deep down in your gut, you have this sick feeling that they can still lose.
