Could there be a clue in the dice being released on the same day? Laeral Silverhand's Explorer's Kit is described as "Dice and miscellany for the world's greatest roleplaying game" for $29.99. We'll find out on Thursday!

Who's Laeral Silverhand? She's a prolific creator of magic items from Waterdeep, and one of the most powerful wizards in the Forgotten Realms. She's one of the Seven Sisters, introduced in 1987's Forgotten Realms boxed set, although Laeral herself wasn't described in that product. Ed Greenwood'sThe Seven Sisters supplement fully detailed them in 1995. Laeral and Khlben 'Blackstaff' Arunsun led a group called the Moonstars. In 5th edition, she appears in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.

Seeing Tales of the Yawning Portal and Ghost of Saltmarsh were announced in January, guessing a bunch of adventures set in the FR centered around Silverhand. Maybe a series of Force Gray missions
It's possible, but I can't think of any classic adventures likely to be included, and I would expect all new adventures to make a bigger splash.

Prior to this, I was expecting a horror adventure anthology to announced, but that certainly wouldn't fit with Silverhand!

I'm nearly certain it's a setting book (although that doesn't preclude the things you list).

It's called "Forgotten Realms: Laeral Silverhand's Explorer's Kit." The "Forgotten Realms" piece reminds me of "Eberron: Rising from the Last War" title layout. Plus "Explorer's Kit" sounds purposefully worded as to be dual use as a guide (explorer's ) and player's toolkit (kit).

Sorry about that- when I saw it last night and posted I was under the impression the dice set was part of the explorer's kit (which maybe included other game-aid things)- not the title of the book as well.

The dice set is Forgotten Realms Larael Silverhand's Explorer's Kit. We don't know the title of the actual book and anything about it, other than that it's releasing the same day as that dice set.

We are just ASSUMING that the Laeral Silverhand dice is somehow linked to the next book. It might not be.

That's true, we are all making an assumption. However, every dice set of this style has been connected to a hardcover so far. ToA, Ravnica, Waterdeep, and Avernus all come to mind. They might be changing it up, but the safer bet is that they're related.
