Inside the building, Alkert considers Alysina's words before replying, "I might be able to see my way to accommodating some of your requirements. I need to clear something up first of all. This 'forged here pretended to be the guardian of the burning building. He even followed me in as I looked for the contents of the vision even though he had obviously never been inside before. What had you hoped to accomplish by stationing one of your men outside a burning building?"

Outside Brelach and Arvan (still carrying the struggling, bound halfling) approach the three watchmen standing outside the watch station that Weapon and Alysina entered. As they get closer the watchmen see the bound halfling and grab their weapons which had been lying against the side of the building. "Halt, please state your business with the watch? Why are you carrying that halfling?"

"It was actually desired by out employer. The other Warforged went with him to protect him from further attacks, and he didn't want allies of the arsonists to come in and vandalise the place or random onlookers to hurt themselves in the blaze--only the arsonists themselves seemed able to ignore the fire. Weapon is a staunch ally and a good fighter, but he takes his duty seriously--when we said to make sure it stayed undisturbed, it seems he took the command quite literally. It may have been for the best. I can see that you are truly an honourable man that will not go back on his word, but for all Weapon knew, you could have been a spy or in disguise. He is not great at discerning those, but he is smart enough to know that and take cautions. I apologise for any inconvenience it caused you."

"Part of an investigation. This halfling was part of a number of people who caused the disturbance on the docks earlier today," Arvan says.

Brelach scowls at the guard. "Watch? Is that what you're calling yourselves, now? You might want to think of a different title - 'watch' just doesn't cut it. After all, it took you a while to notice you - too long. Maybe you should just call yourselves the 'lazeabouts', or maybe 'targets'. I think it'd be more accurate, at least."

Brelach spits onto the floor. "As for the halfling - I'm amazed you noticed her. Bravo for reaching the top of your class. Your parents must be proud. Now, quit being a nuisance and get out of my way."

"Alright you say you have this mystery all figured out. If you can tell me who is behind the fire then I'll pay you to provide the rest of the tale." offers Alkert.

Outside the guards bristle at Brelach's demeaning speech and reach for their weapons. "If she's part of the problem earlier, we need to speak to her. And to you." says the guard. They are not holding their weapons threateningly, but each has a hand on their halberds. The one to the left looks like he is holding it protectively as he looks at Arvan.

Brelach rolls his eyes. "Fine. You want her, she's all yours. Feel free to investigate. Make sure you tell my grandchildren the moment you hang the wrong man for the crime. I'm sure you'll look amazing with your medal. Guard"

Brelach rolls his eyes, and looks back at Arvan. "Do we really need the girl, still, or can I let this morons pretend they made a meaningful life choice and 'question' her?"

"Brilliant. The fire was started by a renegade group consisting of several kobolds and led by a halfling marked by an Aberrant Dragonmark. They were mumbling about a prophet and seemed quite mad, and they were, it seems, affected by something dark and dangerous I haven't told you about yet that is part of the tale of the visions. If you want the exact specifics on the perps, I will question more contacts for the details--I have them gathered and ready for inspection, but when earlier investigating, I personally found them to be utterly trivial when compared to the more serious revelations I was investigating first."
