Marked by Destiny, Marked by Tragedy (Erekose13 Judging)

edit: more ooc: Your right, I'm fudging it slightly. The gnome could make a defensive withdrawal on his next move and escape scot free. personally I think it goes against the grain of a burning eberron NPC running like hell to fight tactically but if you like I'll have him do that on his next move.

Arvin AC: 16 HP: 18

Arvin will step up next to the kobolds, and cast Burning Hands.

OOC: He should be able to get the 3 next to the gnome, maybe one of the trailers, and he gets to make a claw attack against the kobold next to him when he does this. He'll take an AoO, but he's not too worried about that. IF not, he'll burn one kobold, and claw another.

Burning Hands, 15' cone, 2d4, DC14 ref save
Claw, +3 1d6+2 20/x2
Concentration +7

Edit: Actually scratch that, you can Color Spray them without hitting the gnome. For some reason I keep thinking Sin's a gnome. Previous comment deleted.

(OOC: Chatty like a gnome but secretly more competent is she? Or is it the whole inquisitive thing?

Bront, Arvin goes after Sin--if she downs a goodly number, you'll have a chance to see that, so you should have him use the Burning Hands on the back row. Here's hoping they're generic NPC Fighters or Rogues!)

Weapon, already suspecting something, is quick to act when the chaos erupts. "They are not the ones still fighting inside!"

Expecting Alysina to act, Weapon awaits her action. Given any standing kobolds, he'll charge in and crush their skulls in.

OOC: Init: 15. Delay until after Alysina, then charge.

His Thuranni-trained reflexes giving him the advantage, Silvanon acts first, leaping forward and firing an arrow through the throat of one of the trailing kobolds before they can even register his presence. It falls to the earth with an unceremonious thump, dead before it hits the ground.

Bennit, eyes dazzled from looking into the flames, fires off an arrow into the melee.Iit looks like it will hit home, but a sudden movement from the fleeing gnome sends things disastrously wrong. Veering to the left in an attempt to avoid the kobold’s shortspear he flings himself right into the arrows path. A surprised expression on his face, he falls to the ground a puddle of blood expanding slowly from his torso. He’s still clinging to life, but bleeding profusely.

Suddenly, a large crashing noise erupts from above and a figure is sent flying from the upper window in a storm of splintered wood and burning embers. Landing unceremoniously on the ground the figure is revealed to be a female halfling.

[sblock=Silvanon] Looking up, the remaining shadowy figure has moved forward to the edge of the newly made hole in the wall. The light from the flames reveals it to be a massive adamantine plated warforged of similar design to Weapon. You can’t be sure, but it appears to be the same warforged you saw in your vision. [/sblock]

Alysina gives Arvin a brief hand signal to approach from the right, then darts to the left and circles the kobolds from the side, firing off a spray of fantastic colours as she passes. Unfortunately these kobolds either possess exceptionally strong wills or are afforded some kind of protection, as the closest two kobolds barely seem to notice as the colours reflect off their gleaming scales. The furthest kobold from her glances at the approaching gnome for a brief, fatal second and falls to the ground writhing as the colours strike him in the eyes.

Weapon, seeing Alysina and Arvin approaching from the sides, decides to complement the strategy by charging straight down the centre. He leaps over the falling gnome, interposing himself between the bleeding noble and his attackers. As he lands, his axe strikes the centre kobold in the face, bringing him down in a spray of gleaming yellow-gold ichor.

As you and the kobolds fight on, the halfling begins to lift herself up from the ground and look around at the scene, her expression frantic. When she turns her face to you, you notice an Aberrant mark manifested across her face like a fire-brand.

[sblock=Arvin and Silvanon] Given that each aberrant mark is unique, there can be no mistaking it. You’ve seen her before. This halfling was the final shadowy figure from your vision. [/sblock]

Arvin leaps at the kobolds from the right, fire streaming from his and washing over the kobolds. The kobolds barely seem to flames and when the blast clears, none of them appear to have taken any damage.

Brelach is the last to act, flinging a knife at the kobold next to Alysina. Unfortunately the shot goes wide, arcing over the kobolds head and landing harmlessly in the dirt behind.

OOC: Ouch. Sorry Bogre but you didn't specify which kobold you were targeting so I assmue you went for one of the ones in combat with the gnome and didn't take the -4 penality. Suffice to say you rolled the worst of possible rolls on the 'chance to hit anther target'd100. The gnome's still alive, but if he doesn't recieve healing within the next minute or so he won't be. In any case as it stands, one of the frontline kobolds (the centre one) is dead, one is under the effect of colour spray (the one next to Arvin) and one is completely unharmed (The one next to Alysina, weapon can flank this guy with a five-foot step if he wishes). One backline Kobold is dead, the other two are unharmed.

Anyway, Round 1 over. Round 2: Silvanon up (though the rest of you can state any actions you want to take when your turn comes)

Initiative Queue is:
Silvanon
Bennit
Mysterious Warforged
Alysina
Weapon
Mysterious Halfling
Bleeding Gnome
Kobolds
Arvin
Brelach
