Yeah, I think I'll go with the mark of finding. +2 on Search checks is much better than a +2 on survival, and the free Identify every day is probably cooler than Orien's teleport ability, even though I think it's a pretty nifty power.

Still might change my mind, though. In any case, Brelach will be manifesting a Dragonmark as soon as he levels. Alright if I start RPing the mark coming out?

When Brelach reaches the bottom, he looks around anxiously. "Looks good. How is the tin man going to get down?"

Arvan sends up a few Pitons and a hammer for Weapon to secure the rope and come back down (I mentioned he was going to buy some, I think I did, and if I didn't I'll pay for them in a moment )

On the bodies of the dead kobolds, you find a single remaining +1 Flaming Crossbow Bolt, along with 36 gp in coins. You also recover 4 light crossbows.

After fastening the rope the best he can, Weapon attempts the climb. At the bottom, he takes point position, looking into the retreating tunnel while the rest prepare themselves.

"Did you kill all the creatures last time -- I kind of missed that part." Silvanon says as he is looking over the dead bodies and finding some equipment still present.

"If you didn't, it seems strange that they wouldn't have come back for the bodies and equipment -- they left a magic crossbow bolt and 4 crossbows. By the Gods, what amateurs."

"Of course, if you did kill them all, then it all makes sense -- and means that no one else wandered down this way."

If possible, Silvanon will attempt to pocket the gold pieces a la sleight of hand without the others noticing while he was checking over the corpses. It would be more in character of him (and his CN tendencies) to try that.

That is, if he has some sort of diversion with the others coming down the chute after him.
