I reached my limit some time ago. It seems to me that it if you're in it for the art and story, collections are becoming far more economical.

I keep 5 titles on my pull list to get the 20% store discount and I'll continue to do so until the prices are too high. At the moment I only collect a few titles (DD, Ultimate FF, Astonishing X-men, Tom Strong, PVP, Dork Tower & Planetary) so it's not that bad. Not all of those come out every month.

I do collect the HC collections regularly. Whenever a new Ultimate Spidey or X-men is out I get it right away. As time permits I pick up other trades as well. Better for the money, easier to store and then take out to read again and no wait time to finish the storyline. I love 'em.

I stopped picking up single issues years ago. Graphic novels are the way to go, IMO.
Exactomundo. Especially when compilations only seem to be a few months behind the run that they're compiling.

Are you reaching your limit too?

Yes.
With every price increase I tend to stop buying a certain percentage of my monthly comic book titles.

There have been times when I bought only a few Marvel comics, but today there are quite a few I enjoy. Damn that price increase :(

I'll generally buy compilations only if I think that the book will go to compilation. JLA, Teen Titans, Tom Strong, Green Arrow, Ultimate X-Men/Spider-Man/Ultimates, and a couple others are all comp-only buys for me. That can be a two-edged sword, though, since comps are generally only done for books that sell well. If I start off a book and say 'I will only buy the compilation', then I might be contributing to it's demise.

I quit buying comics about 5-6 years ago when my local comic store closed down. I've only bought a few since then but they were mainly the GI Joe title. It's hard to afford comics, especially now, when they are approaching $3 a book for mainstream titles and more than that for non-mainstream.

I haven't reached my limit. I have a large number of titles that are put aside for me at my local store, and I thought it was standard to pay $3 each for them. Of course, I get 15% off on everything in that store, so that helps alleviate the blow somewhat. Not that I mind, as I love comics, and buy them almost every chance I get, with no intention of stopping soon.
