Spider-Man was amazing. Easily supassing the original Batman movie. It captured the character perfectly.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Only if you mean Batman: The Movie from 1966. :p

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Spider-Man doesn't surpass Batman from 1989, but neither does it fall short of it. They were both amazing movies! :)

They both had 2 really good movies (Superman and Superman 2, Batman and Batman Retuns)

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp I completely agree that the first two movies of each franchise were really good (and the third Batman film, Batman Forever, was pretty good as well). :)

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp It's strange how as recently as five years ago, it was generally acknowledged that DC was the comic book company that made good superhero films while Marvel's superhero films were pretty much B-rated flms that went straight to video (which, well... they were) - the only decent Marvel outing to that point on any screen (not including cartoons) was The Hulk TV show.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Oh man, how times have changed (starting with the first X-Men movie in 2000, no doubt)!

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Most people here probably don't realize that the Spider-Man movie project which eventually came to fruition was first proposed by none other than James Cameron back in 1992 or 1993, with Michael Biehn (of The Terminator and Aliens fame) to play the Spiderman/Peter Parker role. An even earlier attempt at a live-action Spider-Man movie was planned back in 1987 or 1988, but that one obviously never materialized.

P.S. = The Flash TV show was pretty good too. Anyone here remember it?

I'm the proud owner of a tape of the Dr. Strange movie from 1980 or so. Surprisingly decent, all things considered, because they focused less on the four color costumes and action.

Blade was a fine action movie. Blade 2 a definite step down, enough so to make me wonder if I'd even see Blade 3.

Batman and Superman's last few movies were so bad, taking the time off before trying them again is probably a good thing.

For Hulk, I'm probably biased. I only liked the Hulk during his intelligent period, both Gray and Green. The mindless, wanders from place to place and happens to fight the bad guys because they annoy him Hulk got old very fast for me.

Now, with any luck, that Shogun Warriors movie is just a few years away...:)

Well in your opinion Spider-man doesn't surpase the 1989 Batman movie. In my opinion it does. I never felt Michael Keaton captured the character of Batman very well. Over all it was a very good movie, but never felt Keaton was quite right. Where as for Spider-Man I truely feel that Tobey Maguire captured both Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

Obviously all thag is just my opinion and everyone is free to disagree with me or think me a fool. :)

I LOVED that series and so would like to see it released on DVD so I can pick it up. :) Easily one of my favorite live action Super-Hero TV shows. For me it's ever so slightly above Smallville.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp I guess our opinions differ on this one, since I felt that Michael Keaton captured the essence of Batman/Bruce Wayne very well. As a matter of fact, he acted out the comic book confident Batman/aloof Bruce Wayne dichotomy better than anyone else who's played Batman on the large or small screen (although Adam West and Val Kilmer physically looked more like the Bruce Wayne in the comic books).

I guess we are going to have to agree to disagree. To me Bruce Wayne always felt like a costume for Batman in the comics. I just didn't see that in the movie. Don't think I'm saying the movie was bad... I would say it comes right after the Spider-Man movie. An extremely close second.

Well if DC did decide to remake their old standbys, Batman and Superman, I would say do Superman first. We have had a Batman movie in the last 6 years. That title needs to rest for at least another 5 or so before bringing it back. Superman however hasn't been in the movies in a while, 16 years if I remember right. That is a good long rest. But I have heard they are having problems finding Superman. Which to me doesn't make sense, because the perfect one in Tom Welling, Smallville.

They turned up again years later? Was everyone from ToD there--Rachel, Frank, Blade, Quincy, Hannibal? Those were the main characters I remember (some were more main than others). I always liked Dracula's daughter, Lilith, especially when she drained the blood off of everyone on a 747. I seem to remember Lilith more as an "off-screen" character--the others mentioned her, but she never was really 'in' the story.

I remember the one cross-over between Dr. Strange and Tomb of Dracula during the regular run of ToD. I have all the issues of ToD somewhere (along with the one issue of Dr. Strange with the cross-over, and the even more obscure and really not that good Werewolf By Night).

Dang, now I may have to track down this other cross-over.

I specifically recall that Hannibal King, Blade and Frank Drake were there - it's been a while. This was a short two or three issue arc, in whichever Dr. Strange title was running around the early to mid 80s. I want to say this was after the Claremont run on the book, but I wouldn't swear to that.

I MAY still have the comics around somewhere.

Maybe Spoilers for the Hulk stuff a the bottom

Here is my take on the Comic Book movies.

Spider Man- Rocked

X2- Photo finish race with spider man with spider man winning

X-Men- Pretty good.

Blade- I liked Blade, I knew he was a marvel comic but never read it.

Blade 2 -Sucked, I was bored with it.

Batman- The first one was good, even if they changed his whole story around Batman's orgin. (I think a show called Gotham would rock, with a teenage/College aged Bruce Wayne traveling the world training to be Batman)

Other Batman Movies- Haed them all.

Daredevil - Never saw it.

Justice League Movie  Bet some of you didn't that was made. Martain Manhunter was Charles Winchester from M*A*S*H, very bad

There was a Fantistic Four Movie- Sucked, saw some of it at a Con.

Captian America - There was some movie or shows from the 70's. He had some fake clear Saran wrap type sheild he would through at bad guys. Then there was a Captian America Movie with Red Skull and the good Capt was tied to a missle were he kicked the fins and it sent him crashing into the ocean were he froze for years.

He Man had comics does that count

Howard the Duck -Groan

Hulk Possible Spoilers
The Hulk- Never really liked the Hulk, and from what I have gathered, Bruce Banners dad did some experimentation with him as a kid and with the Gamma Radiation thing thats how the Hulk was made. Also I always thought Bruce Banner hated the Hulk, in the movie he seems to like it. And were does he buy pants with those amazing stretchy waists??

Today? Probably there is a online shop like "superhero-clothes.com"...

I have to agree that Spiderman was the best movie in the comic-made-movie-genre I have seen so far.
I was really surprised, because I did not expect much from such a movie, but when I watched it, I really loved everything. I can`t say that I think Tobey Macguire "captured" Spiderman well, because I am not that familiar with Spiderman, but I really loved his performance (but not only his).

(Oh, and I just figured out I really like Kirsten Dunst, making Spiderman even better...) :)

I liked the Batman movies, but I still think Spiderman is better. Maybe I should watch Batman again to figure out why it seems to need a photo-finish for most posters here.
I liked X-Men and X-Men 2, but I am absolutely unfamiliar with the comics (never knew of them before these movies). Coincidently, we began a Superhero Campaign when X-Men was shown on German TV and X-Men 2 started in the cinema...
