Marvel Presentation at SDCC Hall H

Hall H is usually the spot for the big reveals. Marvel took the stage Saturday night at San Diego Comic-Con to show off a few things MCU.

They showed some stuff from Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts, but I am not seeing much about that right now.

The Fantastic Four movie gets a subtitle: First Steps

So long Avengers: The Kang Dynasty film, say hello to Avengers: Doomsday!

Plus, SPOILERS, who will be behind Doom's mask…

Avengers: Secret Wars retains that title and opens in 2027

The Russos are back to direct the two Avengers films

Any other stuff you folks saw or are interested in from the panel?

As a fan, I feel like they should just take the win and focus on cool stories. Do individual things for a while. Don't worry about the universe. Just Wow us.

I can understand that. However, having a thread running though films drove engagement in ways not normally seen in movies. I don't think they're apt to give that up.

I would guess the former. That's just a guess though.

It is the easiest way to get the best out of the actor.

And, I can understand the normal bit of superheroes taking masks off, because actors can't emote nearly as well when you can't see their faces. But for Doom...

Him not taking that mask off is a thing. Like, originally, he couldn't take it off - it was burned/bonded to his face. And they had a successful Ultron without a human face...

Star. Singular. He's just one guy.

It raises the question of whether they're going to roll Doom as a Stark variant, or just put RDJ in scar makeup and ignore the resemblance.
They’ve been talking about Evans coming back too, and Downey is a big part of the reason a lot of those movies worked. Throw in the Russos directing again and it feels like someone really wants to recapture the magic by going back to the tried and true.
