Master Monster List

This sounds like a great idea. Mongoose screwed up the game stats with their Ultimate Book and it looks like Green Ronin isn't doing the mini books anymore.

Is there a document, website, download, something, that contains most or all of the following information for 3/3.5 edition D&D?

Monster Name
Book where monster is described

Also helpfull would be any/all of the following included:

Challenge Rating (CR)
Alignment

I'm mainly looking at WotC material, but additional d20 monsters would be great.

Monstrous Master Index

Welcome to the Monstrous Master Index, the most powerful and complete index of all known published monsters for the fantasy genre. With creatures indexed from well over 400 sources, we hope that you are able to find nearly any creature you have heard of. The index presently contains 6219 entries. We are still in the process of adding many creatures to the index.

For obvious copyright reasons, we cannot display the full text of each monster in the index. However, the Master Index is a searchable database complete with a short description, favored environ, alignment, and other information useful to Game Masters for both finding out where detailed information on a monster can be had or for building appropriate encounters for your campaign. Each creatures most recently published characteristics are used.

The Monstrous Master Index looks good - but I need something a little different (or I just haven't learned how to extract the info I need properly).

When I pull data from it, it lumps it together into a single line of text, requiring me to re-format (i.e. re-type/copy-paste) each creature entry. For example - I ask for a list of all CC1 creatures in alpha order - copy and attempt to paste to a spread sheet for data manipulation - only to find each creature has its data crammed in a single line.

Seperating it by 3rd & 3.5th edition sources wasn't too bad (go by book listing). Also are some entries that are too vague (fiendish is 'varies) instead of a breakdown. I'd prefer 4 entries for fiendish (fiendish (hd < 4), (4 < hd < 8) etc. I'd also like the option to sort by more then 1 requirement (say 3.5 edition and marsh terrain).

So - still looking. Given that, it still looks to be a nice online resource!

Hey Kamikaze Midget - have you sent that e-mail? My aol service has been real crappy lately and I suspect them of most crimes. Wondering if they ate my mail (and my homework, those dogs!)

Hey BigFreekinGoblinoid - is it possible to pull a list for pasting into a spreadsheet? I need to extract and arrange the data and sort by more then one topic at once. I didn't see a method but perhaps I missed one. Cool web site, btw.
