Master Summoner feat

Carnifex

First Post
What do people think of this feat:

Master Summoner

Prereq's: (Undecided as yet, probably ranks in spellcraft and concentration)

Effect: Any Conjuration (Summoning) spell you cast lasts for an additional number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier.

I'm trying to create a feat that increases summoning duration without being overpowered, partly as a prereq for a PrC I'm putting together. All comments welcomed!

That's an OK feat, however the char should have to be at least 3rd class lvl to get it, this way the feat dosn't increase the durations enough to really mess up combat, as most of the important combat happens within 5 rounds.

Is Wisdom always the controlling stat? The only reason I ask is that it seems Clerics and Druids would be more advantaged by this than Sorcerors or Wizards. Assuming, that is, that CLR and DRU are more likely to have higher Wis scores.

Up to about 4th level or so, it would be as good or better deal than Extend Spell, with no spell level mod. Sure, it's more specialized, but would you allow a more specialized version of Empower Spell that only works for Evocation (Fire) spells with pretty much no level mod?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I don't like the idea of giving some more options to beef up the Summons. It just seems like this may be too good of a deal at lower levels.
