Masters of Science Fiction, 2nd Episode.

Story-wise, I found this one as weak or weaker than the first episode. The first episode had fantastic interplay between Sam Waterston and Judy Davis, though, and for me that made the first episode enjoyable.

The 2nd episode didn't give Terry O'Quinn much material to work with.

I heard a version of the first episode as a radio play once. I am not familiar with any of te other stories, though. If I wanted preaching, I would go to church. Up with pointless violence! :p

I forgot to watch. :o

I'm not sanguine about how well they'll handle the Harlan Ellison story they adapted if they're being so obvious and preachy with the other adaptations. His work is nothing if not subtle and layered.

I am, as the teleplay was written by Harlan Ellison and Josh Olson (who wrote the screenplay for A History of Violence, which was excellent), Ellison has a cameo in it, and it's directed by Jonathan Frakes (who, at least, has experience with scifi). It's the one I'm most excited about.
