Here's hoping there's no more Mtv videos shoddily edited into the storyline. Hell, I'd be happy if they just up and admitted Neo is the Second Coming, but they'll never have the neds for that.

While I did have a couple of problems with Reloaded, I certainly liked the movie well enough. I think it had the impossible task of living up to the hype that was built up by practically every movie-goer in the world. Of course people were going to be disappointed with it.

The Revolutions trailer didn't really get my blood pumping the way the one for Reloaded did. I thought it actually seemed rather tame, considering it's supposed to be the climax of the series. Nothing particularly new, effects-wise, was shown - certainly so as to not give away anything new they might want to surprise people with. In fact, it reminded me a great deal of the first film as far as the combat went, with a bit of the second film style thrown in. Like I said though, nothing really new.

Impossible task of living up to the hype? Tell that to The Empire Strikes Back and The Two Towers.

You can add "The Phantom Menace" to that list and make it #1. ;)

I hope no one is getting me wrong here. While I didn't like Reloaded all that much I will be there opening night for Revolutions, if I can, to see the conclusion to the trilogy. I'm just hoping that it will be better than the middle chapter, which was a dissappointment to me.

I don't think either fared as badly in review as Reloaded. And I could point out multiple problems with both of them as well.

Maybe. Phantom Menace was just a badly written movie, but there was no way that it was going to please everyone. That's twenty years of near zealous fandom accumulating. I still think it might have gone better if Lucas actually wrote a better script though.

Besides, I subscribe to the theory that Lucas never wanted to make the prequels anyway.

Of course they didn't. Because they actually did live up to the hype. And to prequels (Star Wars and FOTR) much more celebrated than the original Matrix.

Ya, the trailer doesn't really show or hint at anything really interesting. The first movie was decent, the second was a disappointment even for one like me wasn't expecting anything special, and the third at least looks like it will wrap up the trilogy. I can only hope......
