Don't you see how stupid this sounds? The whole reason some people attacked the other new employee was because of a perceived lack of experience. This person doesn't lack experience and is therefore not subject to the same attacks.

In all seriousness, this seems like another fantastic hire in a string of fantastic hires by WotC. YouTube has played such a significant role in expanded tabletop gaming (both RPGs and board games) and I'd wager it's probably one of, if not the, biggest factors for the recent renaissance within the hobby. It makes total sense that WotC (and others too; Green Ronin with the Titansgrave setting book, for instance) to tap into that market. One of the first rules of breaking into publishing is to bring an audience with you; and the average RPG YouTuber is going to have a much larger audience than, say, the average DMs Guild seller (and at the top end of either the numbers aren't even anywhere close).
