Max STR mod on Composite Shortbow?

Hopefully I'm not asking a question that's already been asked before... but is there a maximum strength limit on composite shortbows? I don't have the 3.5 PHB and the SRD only stipulates that there's an additional 75 GP per point of Strength bonus granted by the bow.

That was a quick reply! I seem to recall the same for 3.0, but nothing for 3.5...

There are no Str limits in 3.5 for mighty bows. However, if your Str isn't at least as good as the bow's rating, you take a -2 penalty on attacks.
