And you cannot reload it without a free hand, so uhh.

Seeing how Eldritch Blast cannot sneak attack, that'd be a pretty poor Rogue!
A sling is so small, and light, I don't think I would enforce the requirement that an empty sling required a second free hand but you make a very valid point RAW!

Yeah the issue with Eldritch Blast was more of a general one. It does look like True Strike should stack but the 'problem' cantrips from Sword Coast that use melee attacks might yet be re-worded to limit SA synergy, I suppose. I might have restricted cunning strikes to 'when you use your attack action to deal sneak attack damage' to try and avoid stacking spell damage, sneak attack, and cunning strike riders. I suppose that would limit reaction riders.

Nick would not stack with spells using the magic action though so that is one limitation.

And that's exactly why blade cantrip sneak attacks aren't a problem.

Cantripper is making one bigger single attack.
Nicker is making two attacks, and has the option of picking up Dual-Wielder for 3rd.

The latter has the reliability (of landing their sneak attack in the first place) on their side, and can have a higher damage ceiling (if all attacks hit, if they have a buff on them/their weapons that gives extra damage on every hit), and can split their damage multiple ways in cases where their first hit was enough to drop a target.

Also, finally the scimitar of speed isn't so lame.

Yep, I'm a firm believer in Fighter/Rogues! Works both ways, either as a dip or a more equal arrangement.

And Paladin/Ranger/Rogue, who do get weapon masteries but only two of them, do really benefit from multiclassing with someone else with them, because you often do want that 3rd weapon option.

I really like Rangers with 1 level of Monk TBH. Super easy in terms of ability requirements, boosts damage with daggers, allows a bunch of simple weapons on dexterity and provides a bonus action attack which can be in addition to Nick or used after you do something else with your action (like cast a spell).

Also Rogue with 1 level of Ranger and Rogue with 1 level of Paladin work really well if you take Arcane Trickster multiclass.
