MCU Phase 4 news

Yup, but I can see both of those things changing due to many factors.

Given that Tessa Thompson just said of Valkyrie at SDCC, "First of all, as a new king, she needs to find her queen. So that will be the first order of business," with the director of the film standing on stage with her...

I really don't see them undoing what was just done.

Phase 4 feels a bit like the dregs of Phases 1-3 to me. While some of it sounds vaguely interesting, I find myself a bit underwhelmed and even disappointed overall - no mutants, no Fantastic Four, no Silver Surfer, no Galactus, no Moon Knight. But hey, that's just my wishlist...I didn't expect anyone to consult me ;).

I didn't know about that, so thank you for filling me in. I'll wait and see how it shakes out.

The news about a new Blade movie is potentially great, provided that it keeps a more mature approach (as per Wesley Snipes portrayal) and doesnt get a Disney makeover. Mahersala Ali is a great actor and Blade helps to expand the MCU Supernatural mythos.

a bit of a bummer that theyve already spoiled Lady Thor, that could have been a nice surprise for the new movie

Could be good, Blade 1&2 we're good IMHO. Not familiar with the new actor.

Yet. I mean, really, in terms of development time, they only just got control of those licenses. I'd vastly prefer they make sure they have really good ideas for those before taking off with them. Especially the FF. They're some of the hardest do to right, but are probably among the best properties if they can do it.

I suspect that we won't see Moon Knight or Namor, because of the obvious comparisons. If someone heard something different in the recent announcements, please feel free to correct me :)

Moon Knight would be a much better candidate for a TV show. The multiple identity issue would be hard to do justice to in a movie format compared to series.

I love Moon Knight.

I also think his "multiple personalities" make him a problematic candidate for modern mass-market media. We have such trouble with misrepresentation of mental health issues already, that this would probably not be a positive move for Marvel to make.

A small aside - Snipes and the well-choreographed action were great, but the horrifically bad science of these movies made them bad for me.

Anti-coagulents make vampires explode? Super-vampires don't have lower jaws so they can bite harder? They have hearts encased in a cage of bone (unlike, say, your rib cage)...

These are *vampires*. They are *magic*. Don't use science to explain them, because you'll screw it up! Arrrgh!
