Meepo & Erky: D20 Sunless Citadel...

First Post
Has anyone else played around with converting D&D modules to D20 Modern?

Right now, I'm running my players through a D20 Modern version of the Sunless Citadel. I thought you guys might enjoy the conversions I came up with for Meepo and Erky Timbers...

I rebuilt them from scratch using a standard array. Be aware that they are meant to fill slightly different roles than those of the originals.

MEEPO

Meepo is a young kobold trained as a scout for his tribe. Unfortunately, he is far too interested in the technology and gadgetry for his own good. He is constantly scavenging for bits of machinery and electronics to salvage and repair, much to the detriment of his ordinary duties.

This is a cool idea. So what are you going to make Belak into? An evil genetic engineering mad scientist? An fantatical eco-terrorist? Where are you having the adventure take place? An abandoned subway tunnel or mine beneath the city? Bneath the sewres? I hope you post more.

Hey, thanks.

Well, I don't want to ruin it for any of my players who may be watching, but here's what I can say for now...

The setting is post-apocalyptic. Similar to mad Max, Fallout or Rifts. The characters are from the frontier town of Yellowstone, a village that grew out of the National Park of the same name. The Citadel is in a gorge east of Yellowstone, and was formerly a Compound for a group of "Dragon Cultists" who were into studying alchemy (in the unlimited longevity sense) before the War.

They are investgating the Citadel, because a band of goblin bandits have been raiding travelers on the east road, and it is thought that they've made the Citadel their base of operations. A week or two before, Deputy Buford and a couple of young toughs from town went out to scout out the gorge, but never came back. The characters (also Deputies) were sent out by the sheriff to find them, and run off the goblins.

Coming soon... Calcryx, the Dragon Priest and the Cultist's Journal.

More later...
