Meeting EN Worlders in real life

Those of us on the Left Coast...

...don't seem quite as sociable as those in the Midwest or East Coast, huh?

Actually, I game with Lizard fairly frequently. Arcady used to game with us, as well.

But I knew them before I discovered EN World. :)

I'm not sure if anyone else in our group(s) is here.

I met ENWorld through Swack-Iron and Sialla, rather than the other way around.

I'd love to meet more ENWorlders, but that would require a trip to the Bad Coast (aiiiieee!) or to GenCon (unlikely, but Mr. Mythago might be going).

Ah, but I met you through ENWorld! Well, via Swack-Iron, who I met here.

And my life is infinitely richer for the experience.

Or infinitely . . uh . . more interesting, if not actually profitable.

Ah what the heck, after the library of stuff you loaned me a few weeks back, it might wind up being profitable as well.

Anyway, after a looooong pathetic dry spell without gaming of nearly five years, it was very refreshing to get back in to it, and I'm very grateful for the invite. (At last my arm is complete again . . . )

And if I can't get you to Boston, then I've just gotta figure out a way to get Boston to come here . . . . somehow . . .someday . . .

Wow, I thought that with this many users more people would have met each other. I guess the hivemind thing sort of kicks in during situations like this. ;)

I have yet to meet anyone from ENWorld but I hope to in the future. I would love to get some people from over here together for a San Fran Bay Area con of some sort. I live over in the Far East Bay in a town called Oakley. Might even meet people at the Con in Danville/San Rmaon sometime, I know it is coming up sometime in the near future.

I think the only one from my gaming group who visits this site is "Battyjoker" the creator of www.thegamehub.com but he is mainly just a lurker.

I also want to thank everyone for having such a great site dedicated to a game I have loved for quite sometime.

Thank you Morrus and Eric and everyone else I am forgetting about at the moment.

I never heard Cali refered to as "the left coast" before though I have heard the Atlantic refered to as "the Pond" Reading this thread I get the feelong that there are just a lot MORE gamers east of here.

Do be perfectly honest, I was a bit worried about going to the recent Chicago games day -- I've met too many weirdo gamers to meet gamers casually and not be nervous about it! :) I was pleasantly surprised to find that I liked everyone I met; particularly the guys I played with in my two games! Now, if I can just get someone else to comment on the Chicago Gamesday story hour (or if I could write up and post my afternoon game...)

G'day

I haven't met any ENworlders yet (that I know of: damn these pseudonyms), but I'm planning to take a leisurely road trip from Vancouver to Tucson (or Tucson to Vancouver) some time next year, and I'd like to make an series of opportunities to meet people along the way.

Regards,

Agback

Agback,

Given your email address I'm pretty sure I know you :-)

But I met you before I started coming here.

Amusingly, I have met several ENWorlders, and do not know their screen names.

I played in the final session of the "against the elves" Boston campaign, subbing in for a Bard - which I promptly put french flavor into.

...I'm not sure the french flavor was appreciated.

I have met P-Cat, although I did not realize at the time, the kinda weight he swings around here. I had the brazenness to ask him about joining in a game of mine!

I'd really enjoy meeting Wulf, Dr. Midnight (for Justice!), and the other RI, ENWorld lurkers.

...and even to sit in on a session of the Dofenders of daybreak - ahhhh, rare prize indeed! P-Cat says if I stop hanging onto his leg in public, he'll consider it. But i'm not convinced... :D

And if I can't get you to Boston, then I've just gotta figure out a way to get Boston to come here . . . . somehow . . .someday . . .

At last--a use for the soon-to-be-decommissioned space at Moffet Field! ;)
