Phlegm-tastic! :D

Thanks for asking - I'm doing better, but KidCthulhu has laryngitis. Ouchie.

It was great seeing you guys!

Cool! Blood Jester will be there, too. Grooviness.

last week I had a dream that Piratecat and some of his friends were visiting and staying at my house.... And piratecat - no more nightmares, please!
Well, y'know, Duncan, a cat that good....

If I ever make it down to Australia, I'll have to do so bumming off of EN Worlders for tour guides and amusement. :D

I think I've been incredibly lucky. I just started to try and figure out how many folks I've met from here and liked, and I'm not sure I can count that high. On the other hand, the people I've met and didn't click with could be counted on the fingers of half-a-hand.

(And, if I haven't said so recently - thanks Eric, and Morrus, for making this possible in the first place.) :D

I have met only one person from the boards ThomasBBJ, who is a cool guy

and I second the thanks!

Lol, you are one sick kitty!

On-topic i've had the pleasure of meeting abunch of folks from the boards, Most noteably: Mark, Eric Noah, Claudio Pozas, Col Playdoh (autographed necropolis=cool:D ), William Ronald, and a bunch of others at Gen-Con this year. Great guys all of them.

I also play D&D everyweek with Dareoon Dalandrove and Shadow64. With any luck I'll be getting together with some of the other EnWorlders from my area the beginning of the year, and at Gen-Con 03.

You're more than welcome to come and stay at my inner-city shoebox.

I've got a queen-size bed. ;)

Well, I've been involved in running a convention here in Canberra for nine years now, and we love having special guests (not that we have for a few years, but we've had Ed Greenwood, Margaret Weis and others in the past)...

So if you are thinking of coming, maybe we can work something out - and hey, if you are making money writing RPG stuff, you should be able to write off a trip to a con for tax purposes ;-)

Are you referring to CanCon, Duncan?

I've seen flyers for that everywhere here in Sydney. Does it rock? If so, I might have to come on down.

Uh, no, I'm referring to Phenomenon.

CANCON is a wargaming/board gaming/roleplaying/Card Games/Computer games con. It's very large and has been around a long time (I think 2003 is it's 25th year), but it's roleplaying support these days is very poor
(unfortunately this seems true for most sydney cons at the moment, too - ie, Macquariecon, which is running for 12 sessions and currently lists a choice of 11 games).

Pheno is purely Roleplaying (we've had one or two card games occasionally, and sometimes had some other events), and usually offers 25-30 games for 7 or 8 sessions. The last few years we've had around 150 attendees, which is much smaller than CANCON, but quality is more important than quantity to us.

Also the last two years Pheno has had a large range of Living Greyhawk modules available, including Perrenland's (Australia's Living Greyhawk region) first interactive event.

You can see this year's webpage at http://vurt.net/phenomenon/

Good times!

I've met a ton of cool people because of these boards...in fact, it's my favorite thing about them!

Special thanks to Doc Nuncheon for showing me EnWorld existed.

This is not a complete list but I've met:

Doc Nuncheon (of course), Piratecat (and his D&D group, I think), KidCthulhu, Dr. Midnight (and his group), Umbran, Chronosome, Dareoon Dalandrove, DaveLozzi, and I've probably forgotten half a dozen.

Soon, I hope in meet Sir Osis in person, as well as Jim, whose Username I can't remember for the life of me (sorry).

And I second Dr. M's urging for another Boston-area Games Day. Let's make these lists grow, shall we? :)
