Mega-Adventure Prelude--Tenebrynn's Revel

"A dragon? No unfortunately that big black dragon got away after we got out from under the volcano. I doubt he was buried in the eruption, that'd be too lucky for us. Though I'm certainly an adventurer, I'm not sure how much of a hero I am, but I'm very pleased to meet you Ms. Kiara." replies Tenebrynn.

"Well, you'll always be a hero to everyone at the library. And not just that--you're our hero, you're one of us. But you really did beat a dragon then. Wow, what was that like?" Kiara's eyes almost sparkle as she imagines it.

Valan laughs Cut a hash mark for paranoia then. He laughters goes quieter then he gives an uncomfortable half grin. Tor about that family thing, romor has it... He voice lowers to a whisper
that you're a dragon kin.
True?

Nurlan turns toward Valan when he hears this. While he doesn't catch the whispered part, he can guess what the rumour is about. He focuses his attention on this conversation, curious whether Tor's secret is still a secret.

"No, no dragons yet. He wasn't there when we managed to get out. Causitus was though, a lord funding a royal assassination against the crown of Monemvassia. We put a stop to his plans, permanently. It was for that, that we were knighted. But true to my heart, I am one of you, yes. I will always feel at home amongst the books at the library." Tenebrynn replies, not quite sure how to deal with fawning adoration. That he knows they could end up together as a very real possibility doesn't help much either.

"I would love to be able to create effects like this someday. Although you're much better at this sort of thing I am," Babette comments to the illusionist.
"Well, a bit better, but not much." Fimble waggles his fingers and a little orb of blue light comes out of his sleeve. The blue light is shortly followed by a tiny furry head. Soon, a long, lithe weasel is chasing the ball of light around Fimble's body. "Did I tell you I summoned a familiar? I haven't decided on a name for her yet, I've just been calling her 'Weasel'. I don't think she likes it. When he says the word 'weasel', the little creature stops chasing and glares at Fimble for a moment. Fimble shrugs and Weasel resumes the chase.

"Hey, anybody here got a good name for a magical weasel?"

OOC: Fimble casts prestidigitation as a gnome ability.

Ashmodai - Maenad Lvl 1 Wilder

Smiles and nods towards Lokin " Sorry Lokin haven't seen either of them..." he then laughs heartily as the rest of what lokin has to say dawns on him "hmmm tension with both of them, man.... do they both know about this?" grins stupidly as he says this.

Picks up some more food, and feeds himself delicately. "Well at the moment this is definitely the place to meet some friends. So do you know what this party is about?"

Eternity enters the hall trepidaciously looking around for her friends. All these people pressed closely together make her uncomfortable still especially after recent events. She tries to find her friend Hulgyr and discovers him at the table with the food. "Hulgyr, what is this party all about?"

"Hi turnity!" Hulgyr greets Eternity back while he chews away some food "Dunno what this all about but the food's very good!"

Ironwolf nods gravely at Tenebrynn by way of greeting, and thanks him for the invitation.

ooc: Tor has met Tenebrynn before, but I don't believe Ironwolf has. Am I the only one having trouble remembering which of my PCs has met which of the other PCs?
OOC: Yup, it's worse for GMs, who may have no characters who've actualy met any of the others, but know them just as well. Juliana has been part of a party of sorts for her last 2-3 adventures, and Vanitri ended up on a solo quest for a while, and still manages to know several people here.

"'Rikitiki?'" Tor suggests. "Or if you're going for something a little more intimidating, how about 'Rampage.'"

ooc: If you count PCs I've DM'd for, I know just about everybody level 2 and up one way or another. ;)

Lokin chews his food quickly to be able to answer.

"The party? No idea, actually. But if almost every adventurer in the inn is going to it, I figure it's a place I want to be."

Lokin turns around to look at the crowd, almost tripping another guest with his bastard sword scabbard as he twists his torso.

"Whoops. Sorry about that."

Lokin grins bashfully at Ash.

"I should have dressed nicer and left my sword, but I just came from the inn common room as I was dressed. Actually, my armor is the best clothing I own. Where I come from, they don't make much of fancy clothing and the like."

He looks down at his clothing, stained from years of campaigning.

"As for the party, I'm sure there will be some kind of announcement at some point. If there is a job coming, I hope they think I'm qualified. Most of these people seem to have some amazing stories. Most of my experience has me in some dark dungeon with orcs competing with lizardmen and giant bugs with the honor of trying to kill me. To add to that, one of my companions tried to betray us after his romantic attention was rejected by another member of the party. This is not the kind of epic quest that bards sing songs about, you know? How about you? You have any amazing tales to tell?"
