If you have so much problem with 4e
I'll try to tread lightly here, but I don't think Danceofmasks has any problem with 4e. He was merely stating fact (if not in the most eloquent way). Every class works using the same core mechanic. You roll some dice, add a primary stat bonus and some other bonuses, check against a defense, roll some more dice, add a primary stat bonus and some other bonuses, and announce damage.
It's all similar numbers on paper for every class. It's the flavor and effects that change, and make the game colorful. I think the point is, giving a feat that emphasizes this mechanic can't really be seen as overpowered. It's the base for what every character is expected to be able to do every round.
